This book presents an original project aimed at our well-being: from extras, aromatic-medicinal plants become the protagonists in our daily diet and in our home environment.

For 15 aromatic-medicinal plants of Greek land, historical information and basic biological elements are given, their ingredients and properties are provided in a scientifically documented way, special recommendations-precautions are given and their dietary use is reviewed. In addition, their aroma and taste are described, small secrets in their use are revealed and 75 creative cooking recipes (and their variations) are suggested with accompanying drinks, 52 menus, 11 beverages and 5 original plant mixtures for beneficial drinks. Finally, their cultivation and propagation are described in a practical way and basic advice is given for their preservation in the field, in the garden or on the balcony. This book approaches scientific knowledge in a simple way, enriches the Mediterranean diet, opens up new gastronomic horizons and gives new impetus to the cultivation of aromatic-medicinal plants.
