Protects against voltage changes that may result from lightning or wiring faults. The APC Essential SurgeArrest features a mechanism that warns you in case it gets damaged, while preventing higher voltages from reaching your devices even when this happens.

Gradually I have bought eight pieces for all white appliances and air conditioners. In one (of the washing machine) and after about 2 years of use, the protection indicator light went out at some point. They immediately sent me a new one, by courier and with no charge. After that, no other product enters the house except APC and gradually I replace all existing power strips only with APC.

The last one purchased in April 2019 suddenly stopped providing security. I was quite concerned. 2 errors out of 8 is a high percentage (that's why 4 stars) but it may have happened to me. Contacted the dealership again and again a free replacement at zero cost and in a very short time since it came from the Netherlands. Congratulations to the dealership for the support it provides and for not hesitating to incur multiple expenses beyond the value of its product to maintain its name and reliability.

So far everything works without any problems, so I rate it with 5 stars

Another 4 pieces were purchased to cover additional needs and everything works perfectly.
Throughout the time they have been working, there have been storms, power outages, etc., without any problems in the protected devices. I recommend it.

Everything works perfectly, I have not encountered any problems so far.
No protection!!!!!!!!! Supposed to protect from lightning
I bought 7 sockets, one for each device! Lightning struck and 3 TVs burned (one worth about 2,000 euros), the router, and a 4K sound amplifier.
Only the computers were saved because their power was cut off from the power supply!
The sockets, as seen in the photo after this damage, are intact when they should have burned to protect the devices after such a high load!
A lawsuit for product failure is normally required.
A lightning strike happened today, the TV burned out, but this still turns on, as if it’s working normally... I don’t know if it’s worth it and I had it in high regard
Quite good for starting electric motors such as refrigerators, air conditioners after a power outage that start automatically if they are already running and can burn out boards from overvoltage. Look guys, it does not protect from undervoltage, it is not a voltage stabilizer with toroidal etc. Quality construction I got but cheaper ones burned out because they were poor quality. This is one of the decent ones, it has both better and more expensive options. You shop from the medium to lower basket from here to know what you are going to buy
In the past, I had a major power surge in my house which resulted in everything dying except for the items that were plugged into this outlet. It saved my television, washing machine, air conditioner, and refrigerator. Currently, any outlet in my house that has something permanently plugged into it also has an APC.
I bought a total of three. 2 for the air conditioners (toyotomi) and 1 for the refrigerator (samsung).
I had 2 unknown origin ones for the air conditioners and because I have experience with APC (power strips and UPS), I now have APC almost everywhere in the house and I feel calm.
I have it on the wall with a 4-outlet power strip that has a 12,000 BTU air conditioner, an internal wireless doorbell unit, the router, and a security camera. No problems for 3 years now. Today, when I turned on the air conditioner for cold at 20 degrees, I heard a "click" after a while and everything mentioned above shut down. I thought the air conditioner burned out! Fortunately, it was just our friend that got burned! From what I understood, the power strip was very old and worn out without me realizing it. Thankfully, it did its job PERFECTLY and saved my devices! I will definitely buy it again!
I placed it on my new air conditioner, I have two others and on other air conditioners after a circuit board burned on a midea I have. Nothing has happened since then, but from the reviews, it seems good and will show over time.
The construction seems quite high-quality. Now, as for whether it does its job well, I will be sure when it hasn't done its job well. So far, as long as it's connected, it continues to work, but I don't constantly turn the main switch on and off on the panel, only to test it.
I have installed 16 pieces in my house. Many power outages, mainly in the summer. 5 of them burned and the following devices: inverter air conditioner, cordless phone, television (speakers), computer, conventional air conditioner. They did not all burn at the same time but at different times. I don't know if it still saves you even if you put some protection on the panel because experts there give a failure rate of 8-10%.
I used it in a generator to vaporize oxalic acid in my beehives. I placed it to prevent any sudden increase in gas from damaging the device. After 1 hour of use, I can say that it worked fine. If anything changes in the next times, I will update.
I have put it in a very problematic socket which occasionally increased the voltage significantly, it had also caused minor damage to an electronic device, now everything seems fine.
Very good product. Besides protecting against power surges, it filters some frequencies beyond the basic 50Hz, resulting in smoother operation of multiple devices. As a side effect of this, it should not be used before Powerlines. For more serious voltage fluctuations protection, I recommend AVR.
You may never need it, but for valuable devices such as air conditioners, washing machines, refrigerators, etc., you will need it once and it will do its job.
I write about the black one that in terms of reliability I cannot rate it because I have only had it for a few weeks, but its quality shows to be excellent in the plastic parts.
Give 10-12 euros so you don't have a mini heart attack with every power outage or voltage fluctuation. The company is top-notch and its products do their job and more.
Well, from the first day of use it seems to do what it says! Due to the fires, there are constantly fluctuations in the power... Before installation, the air conditioner was causing three malfunctions per hour. After installation, absolutely nothing. I have bought 3, for the washing machine, refrigerator, and air conditioner.
Very good, I immediately noticed a reduction in noise during the refrigerator's operation. I have had it for a week, it will show when the time comes, and the work it has been built to do, I believe there will be no problem.
I had it in the past, after a professional recommended it to me for the particularly sensitive inverter air conditioner. It is a must for all sensitive appliances (televisions, air conditioners, computers, amplifiers, and audio equipment, etc.) which - believe me - get damaged from power fluctuations without you even realizing it.
Two stars only because the protection light no longer turns on, so it's going in the trash... As for the lifetime warranty, I have to take it to APC and I'm not going to bother for €12... This is the second one with a problem, another old gray power strip that sparks when I turn it on and off, so I put that aside too. I really don't know what quality you're talking about!!!!!!!
