Description
The edition of "The Therapist's Diary" coincides with the 30th anniversary of the Laboratory for the Exploration of Human Relationships, founded by Haris Kataki in 1984. In the "Diary," the author invites the reader on an unprecedented journey, during which she reveals the unknown aspects of a therapist's life and unveils the key elements that have shaped her therapeutic approach over the years. Among other things, the reader will learn about the importance of our connection to our genealogical and cultural origins in order to link the links of our personal chain and find ourselves; together with the author, the reader will revisit the critical turning points in their own journey, when they had to make decisions about their profession, marriage, and life; they will ponder the tragically dual, often contradictory nature of everyday language, when one says one thing and means another. But above all, all of this will be seen through the prism of a therapist: the author has long questioned the need for distance between therapists and patients, building bridges of communication between them and abolishing the image of an all-powerful, distant, and neutral therapist. With the "Diary," Haris Kataki embarks on a unique path, leaving behind a trace that the reader can follow to open their own closed doors and find their own enlightenment.
