The product has been discontinued by APC. I bought two, one of them was defective (it would randomly shut off without any reason). The other one is still functioning. APC is a big company with top products and serious support. They replaced it with something else very quickly. I would buy something else from the same company but not this.
The best in its category for its normal price (around 70-80 €). Heavy, proportional, does its job and that's it. I have had it on my computer for years. (Its response is much faster than the 2 average homemade UPS I had at times...) My apartment usually has higher voltage, while other apartments have low voltage, and the building's elevator causes momentary voltage drops that shut down the computer and the UPSs can't handle it. With the stabilizer, nothing happens. I know because I have it on my computer. However, for those who have critical work on their computer, they must invest in a good UPS and endure the "Golgotha" of stress and costs with lead-acid batteries.
On the somewhat negative side, it uses IEC plugs and there are not many cheap multi-sockets available with IEC to Schuko.
The second device I bought for my TV and amplifier 1.5 months ago smells more during its operation.
Unfortunately, on the official foreign website of the company, it appears as discontinued...
I thought it was a good company because I have surge protectors, power strips, and stabilizers. This particular machine is useless. I've had it for half a year and as soon as the voltage drops a little, PC screens shut down, everything shuts down, absolutely no functionality. Maybe if you want to charge a mobile phone.. For me, it doesn't do anything at all, even though it's supposed to support almost half the load. Everything shuts down and then turns back on. I sent an email to the company and they haven't responded for 3 days.
EDIT: They sent me a simple UPS BX1200MI (I'm only interested in voltage stability, not having power during outages) and now I don't have any problems. The stabilizer was probably defective.
Very good machine. It works constantly and has saved me from many fluctuations and power outages.
I have it for 2 months in an area where we have frequent power outages. So far, it works very well.
As most people say, it's not pretty, it's heavy (4.2 kilograms) and quite big, I would say.
But are we going to get stuck on that? It is proven by almost all buyers that it is reliable and does its job.
I plugged in the computer. I also have a surge protector. So I'm good.
I had seen it in various offices, and when I asked an employee, he told me they have had it for over 10 years and it works non-stop!
If the product is good, don't be afraid of anything.
Happy shopping!
A friend who is a computer technician recommended it to me, get it to have peace of mind.
Ugly, 90's construction but its quality is evident from its weight alone.
I hope it does its job properly for many years, as others have mentioned.
I would suggest not using the gray cables from the packaging because they don't fit well, they have gaps. I would recommend buying higher quality ones
Satisfied, purchased to protect the computer, television, and soundbar. It does its job just fine.
After a failed attempt with Chinese stabilizers of commerce, I decided to try a Famous one.
Time will tell... However, so far it seems to do what it promises!!
Select 230v with the corresponding switch ... there is nothing else to adjust, it just does its job afterwards ... I bought it for a refrigerator
I always had a problem with the power in the refrigerator, since I installed the APC stabilizer everything works smoothly and safely.
Even though I have had it for less than a week, it has been working flawlessly, at least for now.
Update: I now have three of them in my possession and I feel a great sense of security from voltage fluctuations. The power is sufficient for a portable air conditioner of 12000btu and generally for many more devices than one would assume.
If you do not want the devices to remain on after a power outage, but you want high protection from under-over-voltages, these are the devices of my choice.
Although they do not interfere with the waveform of the current, as depicted by an oscillograph, the voltage smoothing it provides makes it a very good choice for connection after a power generator.
I have it for about 10 years and as ugly as it is, it knows how to play "ball" like Ronaldinho. To not bore you, I will just tell you that it saved me from a certain fire when one day in the past, in a rented house, I started hearing from another room where I had the PC on the stabilizer, the characteristic sound it makes when it cuts off the power, continuously and non-stop. I wondered what was happening... I went to see and what do I find? The socket was starting to melt along with the (useless - China) power strip, on which it was along with 1-2 low-consumption devices, even though the circuit breaker never tripped, until I turned off the main switch. The sound essentially saved me, not that it's its job to save you in such situations, but I will be forever grateful to it! The PC and the monitor, of course, didn't suffer the slightest damage
Purchased on 05.07.2005 from Athens. It has consistently and effectively protected a stereo sound system and various TVs (in recent years a Samsung 55'' Smart TV) since then.
It has been accompanying me for about 17 years, protecting me... Almost twice as long as my longest relationship... Maybe the only marriage that is worth it, with a stabilizer of 1200 VA from APC...
Update 2024: 20 years
I have had it for 11 years already. How many times has it saved me with these "habits" of the power company - indescribable! I have "connected" only my computer, printer, and everything related to my computer. I have never had the slightest problem from a power outage. Once, the power column next to the power company burned down and my computer was fine - only the APC relay interrupted the power supply. Another, very important, advantage is that after a few seconds of interruption, when excessive voltage comes afterwards, the APC has already cut off the supply. And so, the devices connected to the APC are "cut off" from the upcoming, post-interruption, excessive voltage. This product is of invaluable value!
Simply the best .... I have bought 2 of these for 3 years now and it does its job more than enough... You can understand the machine from the way it operates and its weight. It's worth its money and the company is not random. I will buy APC again, but this time for a surge protector.
If you want a stabilizer for your computer and other sensitive devices, the best option available is the APC. Before purchasing it, I had bought the 1200 model from Lamtech, but I returned it because it didn't perform the job it promised correctly. In the end, you get what you pay for, and I solved the voltage fluctuation problem with the APC
Visually, it looks like you got it from Jason with the repairs on the rooftop.. but apart from that, it's amazing and worth it.
I have the machine for the last month and I have connected a desktop computer with a large 735 Watt power supply to it. I got it because in the area where I live voltage spikes are frequent. It has a sturdy construction, it looks old-fashioned (without LED screens, etc.), but it is very effective, as I will hear it correcting the voltage daily. For your information, it has 3-pin inputs and not sockets. It is highly recommended, especially in areas with voltage problems or in cases where heavy machinery is used at home/office (e.g. old large air conditioners), which cause small voltage drops in the rest of the space's network at their start.
First of all, it does its job. You understand it easily. In the first storm, it protected from lightning. I see it showing a drop in voltage in several cases, especially when other heavy devices start operating in the house. Compared to a cheaper one I had bought, it has a more sturdy construction (4.5kg), it doesn't smell like plastic, and it comes with a certificate that it has passed some performance tests. Also, as I said, it is clearer how it works, you understand it. The cheap one worked more erratically.
5 years ago I bought the first one to protect the refrigerator on an island with continuous voltage fluctuations, and recently I bought the second one for a 55-inch smart TV. They work perfectly - they are the best in terms of quality. No comparison to anything else on the market. The only downside is that it doesn't have socket outlets and you need to buy an extra adapter or a 3-pin power strip. It could be included in the packaging. That's why I give it 4 stars.
I have the smallest model since 2002. It performs flawlessly and yes, it still works. It has protected the computer countless times. Before its installation, I had 3 burnt components in my PC, but since then everything has been working perfectly.
With this, you will understand how bad the network is in Greece. I have two and their behavior is perfectly synchronized.
I have bought it five months ago. What previous buyers mention is correct. During the recent heavy rainfalls in Athens with several power outages from the power company, I didn't have the slightest problem!!!
Update 28/01/2018: Installed in my LG refrigerator, it protected it from two major power dips from the power company in January 2018. I highly recommend it since nowadays we don't easily buy electrical appliances every day.
Update 25/10/2019: It continues to protect me all this time. I highly recommend it without reservation.
Update 05/09/2022: It has been working flawlessly for 6 years now!!!
I have it here for 2 years. So far so good. One thing that one realizes when using an AVR is how many times the voltage fluctuates abruptly, especially when the weather is bad, even in areas of Athens where the network is supposed to be in good condition. I am thinking of getting one for the office.
Update late 2019: I also got a second one for the office in 2016. Both AVRs are performing excellently. Highly recommended. Hopefully, their construction quality will never fail. They save lives!
Reliable and fully covers from under-voltage, over-voltage, black-outs, brown-outs, surges, spikes and provides EMI/RFI noise filtration.
I have it for 3 years.
update 19/12/2017
It continues to work perfectly.

Excellent machine after a friend's suggestion to get it in order to protect expensive devices
