The cooler from Thermaltake is active, which means it uses a fan to reduce the processor's temperature. With just 19.3dB of noise, this cooler makes minimal noise and won't distract you. It has a 165W TDP. To properly operate the cooler, its wattage performance should be at least equal to the processor's Thermal Design Power (TDP). This will also help with the noise generated by the cooler's fan, as it won't reach its limits. A cooler with a lower TDP than the processor's may be less effective, noisy, and could potentially reduce the lifespan and performance of your processor.

Excellent build quality, tremendous performance, comprehensive packaging with everything you will need. Installation requires patience and careful work. This is not an issue with the cooler, but rather a result of its high performance, which requires proper installation. In an i7 box where before installation it reached 50 degrees at idle, after installation I overclock it by +10% and push it with video rendering (cpu ~80-90%) and it never goes above 31 degrees, and the fan always works smoothly. In other words, the passive heat dissipation is so good that the fan doesn't even need to work. Super-silent, I have no words. A+++++
