The essay book by Aris Marangopoulos "Unprotected Battlefields: Positions on Culture and Civilization" attempts to answer vital questions about culture and civilization in Greece, questions to which the author regularly returns over the past fifteen to twenty years with his interventions in the daily, periodical, and electronic press. The book also intervenes in the dialogue about the state of social and cultural decline in Greece from the post-dictatorship period until today.
