The K-1 S is the successor to the K-1, approved according to the new ECE 22.06 regulation. Although it is the most affordable model of the company, AGV has applied the most advanced technologies derived from MotoGP and its top models. It is the perfect helmet for those seeking sporty design and good value for money. It is ideal for any type of route in all conditions.
AGV Manufacturing Protocol
The AGV Extreme Safety manufacturing protocol means that the K1 S exceeds the requirements of the latest international standards, making it even safer. The shell is made of high-strength thermoplastic material for minimal burden, while the inner shell is in multi-density EPS. The secure profile is designed to prevent collarbone injury.
Thermoplastic Shell
The shell is made of high-strength thermoplastic material. 2 sizes of outer shell and 4 sizes of inner shell made of multi-density EPS to offer maximum protection from all kinds of impacts.
Adjustable Vent Openings
3 individually adjustable ventilation openings on the shell and 2 air vents on the chin optimized to increase the speed at which air enters the helmet. Micro-opening: a feature of the top models in the AGV series, including the K1 S. Travel with the visor open a few millimeters to safely adjust the airflow.
Removable Interior
Fully removable and washable interior. Cool and soft fabric that makes the K1 S easy to put on and take off. Inner lining made of DrySpeed material for sweat absorption in record time, keeping the face dry at all times.
Anti-scratch visor
The anti-scratch Ultravision visor guarantees a horizontal field of view of 190°, allowing you to see obstacles, the road, and everything ahead of you sooner and better. You can install the Pinlock Max Vision 70 (not included), which ensures maximum visibility even on the most humid and cold days.

Very nice helmet, the fit is true to size. It does not obstruct any part of the field of vision while riding, but after 100km/h it has quite a bit of noise (with the visor down). The ventilation is amazing. Besides the noise it produces at speed, the other downside is that the helmet takes longer to put on and take off due to the fastening, but you get used to it. Also, although it has a slot for sunglasses/prescription glasses, they do not sit properly, so I bought a tinted visor as well.
Overall it is a bit loose on the cheeks, and it becomes even more so over time, it has enough weight with the bottom not being flat, and it bothers me when I carry it but when I drive the weight is not noticeable having a very nice shape, in terms of sound insulation it is moderate when you close the air vents but certainly not bad, of course with the air vents open it has noise like all helmets I think. The visor needs an extra pressure downwards to close 100 percent, if you don't press it while it has reached the last closing step the helmet pulls in minimal air, this of course I imagine is a general issue in helmets because I see that the more expensive ones have a mechanism to secure the visor at the bottom. For the price it is worth it, generally I have understood that if you move within the city you go for something very light, and on a trip you look more at sound insulation and aerodynamics rather than weight. If you want both, you get the Shoei GT Air 2 and you have the best for both conditions
