Purchased for 309€ with the purpose of configuring network equipment and security systems. A very decent machine with excellent value for money.
+ Excellent value for money, satisfactory performance, in basic tasks you feel that the laptop lacks nothing and handles them effortlessly. After all, the AMD Ryzen 3 7320u is a 4-core / 8-thread processor with a maximum frequency of 4.1 GHz and low TDP. The machine is quiet and does not heat up, although it is expected as it does not push the limits.
+ Adequate storage space (SSD, RAM), for those who do not handle large volumes of data, the 16GB LPDDR5-5500 is sufficient for 2024, when the operating system footprint (Windows 11 Pro x64) is around 3.1GB-4GB and with basic tasks (browser, office) it can reach 6GB-7GB. If we consider that the GPU also occupies 1GB, then we have allocated approximately half of the available physical memory (8GB) and have the same amount available for use.
+ Long battery life. The battery lasts quite a while, which is a pleasant surprise (>= 3hrs), although justified because it is not a high-performance machine.
+ PD Port, fast 3.2Gen USBs.
+ It seems durable, both from the keyboard and the hinges.
- Poor quality materials (plastic), which can be felt in the touch, but justified by its low price.
- The RAM memory is soldered, meaning it is on a chip on the motherboard, it cannot be changed or upgraded to something higher, and there is no extra slot for expansion. It is what you see, 16GB. Moreover, the processor cannot handle more. The downside is that if something goes wrong, the situation cannot be easily fixed and it will affect the entire machine.
- The screen is a basic TN Full HD, while it does not strain the eyes during prolonged use, it does not have good viewing angles, so it is better to connect it to an external monitor/TV if you want to watch a movie/video.
In conclusion, at 309€, my scale leans towards the positives for those who need a machine to do their work. Not for gaming, not for heavy programs, it is a machine for office applications, internet, and simple tasks. It excels in that area. Besides, you must know what you are buying and not have high expectations when playing in low price ranges. Usually, you get what you pay for.
