The Tapo P100 socket from TP-LINK is aimed at users who want to have full control of their devices remotely, through their network, in a reliable and easy way. Using the Tapo app, users can turn their devices on and off remotely, schedule their operation, and monitor their energy consumption. It features voice control functionality, allowing it to be controlled using voice commands via Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. The socket is compatible with IFTTT (If This Then That) technology, which allows users to create automated actions based on the conditions and rules they set. It is easy to install and does not require additional wiring or software installation.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.

I generally have a lot of things in my smart home. And I use many applications. Mihome, yeelight, vtac smart home, tapo, kasa, ifttt... smart things and others. This specific outlet is one of the cheapest that one can buy from Greece, but also in general. From China, the cheapest ones are around 10 euros. And you receive them after a month without warranty or support after the sale.
This specific one is from TPLINK, which is a very reliable brand. The use I make of it is for the espresso machine. Since it takes 20 minutes to heat up, I program it to turn on a little before I wake up, so that when I wake up, the machine is hot and ready for coffee. The load it can handle is up to 2300 watts if I remember correctly, and 10 amps. So it's difficult for it to handle very large heaters and stoves, unless they are below 2300 watts.
The application is the tapo app from tp link. There is also the tp link kasa, but it is the most expensive smarthome series, and those outlets, besides working with a different application, can handle more watts and have integration with ifttt. This specific one does not have ifttt. Ifttt is a site that connects smart devices from different companies together. The device just needs to have ifttt support. The outlet now is very small in size, and turning it on and off is instantaneous, either with the mobile app, or with Alexa, which is how I use it, or with Google Assistant, which I tested from my Android mobile. Within the app, you can program it to turn on at certain days and times, and when to turn off... it also tells you how many hours your device has worked in total in the last month. There is a button on top that is essentially an on/off switch to turn on and off the devices connected to the smart outlet. However, it does not turn off the wifi, so if you turn it off from the button, you can still turn it on from the app, and vice versa...
The good thing it has is that after a power outage, when the power comes back, it always starts with the connected device turned off... something that many Chinese ones do not do, so there is a risk of fire, etc... even if the device is turned on before the power outage, when the power comes back, it will be off...
Do not go and buy Chinese ones, order this one from Greece, it is one of the best that I have, and I also have kasa ones that cost 20 euros each, and Xiaomi and some other Chinese noname ones... I was impressed with the response speed...
The response seems fine (the durability remains to be seen). I didn't know that the P110 also measures consumption, so I would prefer them. I wouldn't trust heavy consumption ("10A max") on the relay, but for simple small appliances, they are fine. I didn't test for leakage (as mentioned in another comment), so I don't know (but if it does happen, it could be a problem!). A big advantage is the physical button and the option to turn it on/off during startup! (..in general, I didn't have a problem with tplink cams, so I preferred it).
It does not have real-time monitoring. The application for garbage collection passes your data through the TP server whether you want it or not. Stay away.
Fantastic!
- It responds immediately through the management via the mobile application
- It doesn't disconnect even if you unplug it
I highly recommend it!!
Amazing, I didn't expect it. I have installed it in the bedrooms and I manage the heating units remotely through my phone. It's worth the money.
I have been using it for years now, it works perfectly, it is durable, very easy to use through the app, excellent product!
4 stars for the price.
If it was 8.50 to 9 euros, I would definitely give it 5 stars and would buy more than what I have purchased.
A nice and value-for-money smart socket, it is perfect for simple use, connected immediately without any issues, the first impressions are very positive, there is a small sound when it turns on or off. I hope and want to believe that it will withstand the test of time.
I wore it all winter as a heater, I turned it on half an hour before I went home and I was warm. It's worth getting it, no problem compared to an older model that used to get stuck with the related things
Fantastic. No disconnections. Easy installation, Immediate response to commands. Also cheaper than xiaomi which has been frustrating me as it constantly requires reinstallation to connect to the router
I bought the plug for fun, just to try some home automation while I'm away (e.g. radiator, lights, etc.). I can say that it does what it says and the accompanying app is very easy, even for beginners.
The only negative thing that might exist is that there is a click sound every time the state changes from on/off. Other than that, it is flawless and definitely worth its money
It was purchased as a switch for a light fixture that had an inaccessible switch. Now it can be controlled from the phone.
I also bought other sockets like this, mainly so I can remotely control their operating status, in case, for example, the iron is left on, etc
value for money... I haven't encountered any issues. I use it with voice command on Google Home and it works perfectly. Very convenient that it also has a physical switch on top.
Plays perfectly! Great value for money. If you want to create a program with Google Assistant, you need to change the language to English. Unfortunately, Google Assistant does not support programming in Greek, otherwise you can use the Tapo app, which does everything!
The plug is currently used to adjust the lighting of the exterior of the house for the holidays. With a price that competes with the classic timers we used to use, it offers a wide range of options, both for setting operating hours and for integrating devices into smart operation plans provided by the application. For its price, it does much more than one would expect from such a product.
Waste of money, loses its settings and doesn't hold them if the WIFI signal is lost. In other words, it does nothing if the WIFI drops. Useless
Finally, I changed the router and both sockets work perfectly now!
I have two pieces, unfortunately both of them, 3 out of 5 times when I need to control them from my mobile, they lose the wifi and I have to either use the button on top or plug/unplug them to regain network connection
Very good product for its intended use. It connects to the internet instantly and works flawlessly. I use it in the summer to automatically turn off the fan when I fall asleep and during Christmas to turn on and off the outdoor lights at a predetermined time. High-quality socket, very good app, I recommend it at this price.
I have had it for a year and it hasn't had any issues, it works perfectly! I use it for a fan/electric blanket
Easy installation, with fast response through the tapo app. Also, the connection with Google Home works seamlessly.
Reliable product, I use it in my country house to remotely reboot the modem with the ability of "pre-programming". It does what it promises without any issues.
It works great. The app is very good, connected immediately, and overall everything is fine.
The only slightly negative thing is that when it "engages" or "disengages", it makes a little more noise than I expected. So, I do not recommend it for a baby's room.
However, maybe that's just how things are.
Flawless socket. It replaces analog and digital timers, with a similar price to the digital ones. Very easy connection to my network and effortless operation. In case of power outage, it requires a check if it reconnects, but it doesn't lose the settings, unlike the simple and digital timers that require time adjustment.
I bought 1 piece and it is really excellent for its price! I would buy it again with my eyes closed. Heavy, high-quality, and sturdy in construction
Very good! It responds immediately and I even adjusted it during Christmas to only turn on and off the lights when I was away from home!
I bought two test products for small appliances and I am completely satisfied, I will definitely add more in my house, as they work perfectly with the Google Home App
Unfortunately, when the power goes out, it does not reconnect. This is important when you want to do something remotely. Practically, with a power outage, it becomes useless.
I have bought 12 of these and I have them in vacation homes of relatives, etc. Excellent collaboration in the same application with Tapo cameras. Out of the 12, only 2 were problematic but they fixed themselves after a firmware update. They do their job but they are not perfect, and this is evident from their price. However, for their cost, they are sufficiently good and most people will be satisfied with their functionality. They are quite useful and have many uses. From lights turning on when you are away from home to rebooting devices connected to power at a specific time (router, etc.)
The star is only given in order to be able to post......The watermelon is useless during a power outage, it disconnects and requires resynchronization from the beginning. It's a waste of money for someone who wants it for remote access to anything. It's good to have it next to you to play with, but that's about it.
Excellent.
I have bought 4 of them which work perfectly.
The tplink application is also very good.
I recommend it
