The monstera is an indoor plant that prefers indirect sunlight but can also adapt to a less bright spot with slow growth. Also, exposure to direct light can cause burns on the leaves. The substrate to be used needs to drain well. It does not have high water requirements and excessive watering can lead to plant rot.
