The very deep mold in the heel area supports the foot tissue and keeps the heel bone firmly in its natural position. 

This provides the foot with almost the same support when in a sandal as when in a closed shoe.

At the front of the sole, near the toes, there are embossed indentations.

Thanks to the toe grip, they remain relaxed and spread out in their natural position. 

The indentations also support the natural rolling motion of the toes.
