This review is about the edition: Game of The Year

Amazing game, especially for fans of the series. The story keeps you engaged, and the gameplay and mechanics are very entertaining. It has several original elements and many others borrowed from other games (e.g. assassins creed, batman arkham, etc.). It is slightly Open World but with low complexity and a relatively short main story.

In addition, the Game of the Year Edition also includes all the DLCs, which are two standalone extra stories that are worth 100% as much as the original game.

They gave it to me as a gift, and the only reason I haven't thrown it out the window yet is this. I'm sure it's good on a PC, but on the PS4, it's a complete disappointment in terms of control. Let's just say that it has many functions, resulting in a single button on the dualshock4 not corresponding to a single reaction. For example, the X button has 3 different interactions together, including running. The final image is indescribable, especially when you are being chased by many orcs and trying to climb to escape.

Quite good and addictive, the battle is expensive, the same as Batman's, but you hold swords, the captain of the game is difficult and annoying, its graphics seem old generation, but you can't say they're bad either!! Nice game overall, 8/10 from me

I didn't expect it to be so good!! If you are a fan of Lord of the Rings, it is definitely worth getting! I got it as a gift exchange and I don't regret at all that I exchanged it for a VR game. The way of killing orcs is for fans of the genre! ;)

Although I'm not a fan of Lord of the Rings, I can say that it kept me engaged and won me over. The combat system is very satisfying (reminded me a bit of Assassins Creed but in a lighter way) with interesting killing moves, plenty of things to do, and the switch to bow-stealth mode is a great feature. And the price has dropped to ridiculously low levels.

Very nice! I enjoyed it until the very last minute! A groundbreaking evolution of the game. If the Urak kill you, they gain power and become stronger. Also, if they don't kill you and you manage to escape, the next time they catch you, they will give you a hard time, which brings you closer to a real battle. I never regretted buying it and I would highly recommend it to everyone without hesitation!

First of all, I am a huge fan of Tolkien but I will give an objective opinion. One of the best action RPGs I have played. The graphics are not the best, although we are talking about a 2.5-year-old game. As for the story, it is as deep as it needs to be to keep you engaged until the end without getting bored. We are talking about a time before The Hobbit in Mordor and in a large part of Middle Earth. The gameplay and combat are the best I have seen, even if you are unfamiliar with the story and Middle Earth, the combat techniques alone will keep you hooked. As for the negatives, I found two... At some points, it repeats itself in terms of the main mission and the graphics could have been better... However, you forget all the negatives since the positives outweigh them... AND... we are waiting for Shadow of War... the sequel

Fantastic in the first playthrough. Lots of orc slaying, I enjoyed it with all my soul. The story is nice, although it's not at all original. The downside is that it's relatively short, even if you strive to complete all the challenges and side missions.

However, considering the price it was purchased at, it's very good value for money and recommended for casual gaming.

It is one of those games that disappoints you when it ends, guys, I definitely recommend it.

Very strong story mode that makes you want to see what will happen.

The combat is satisfying, the movement and the special finishing moves will surprise you.

The enemies are not always easy, and it will keep you on your toes comfortably.

It has quite a lot of areas and a large open world to explore, so you won't get bored easily.

Overall, I would put it among the classics, you won't regret it in any case.

    It's worth it

It is one of the games that you have to play a lot to find negatives. I found two so far. The graphics are not that great and the battle camera could work better at times. But the game has so many positives that you just don't care. The combat is challenging. The stealth is better than Assassin's Creed. The controlled parkour (although sometimes slow). The story is deeper than you expect and the atmosphere takes you to Tolkien's world. Addictive. Faithful to the history. Cheap. Anyone who is a fan of LOTR will love it and anyone who is not will become one. Want more? Okay. A sequel is coming ;)

This review is about the edition: Game of The Year

Definitely one of the best and most timeless games for PS4 and the action genre in general... as big and challenging as it should be to keep you engaged and maintain your interest, with very beautiful and well-designed graphics (even though we're talking about a game that's almost two and a half years old) and equally good work in terms of music, sound, dialogue, acting, etc... the gameplay is also very good and satisfying, and the "building" of the character with level ups and many upgrades that ultimately make them truly unbeatable compared to the Uruk captains and warchiefs... considering the price it has reached now (in anticipation of its sequel coming out at the end of August, which will likely surpass everything), it's like they're giving it to you for free, so I highly recommend it

Unbelievable value for money, makes most titles at a similar price look comical... The action flows very nicely and is spectacular, the top-class theme comes from the incredibly well-crafted world of Tolkien, the story is good but don't expect to draw any life philosophies from it, after all, that's not what games are for... Furthermore, the unique hierarchy mechanism of the game is particularly original and interesting, providing a tactical depth that is missing from most titles of its kind. Buy it, it's worth it!

After about a year of ownership, I have to say that the game is objectively flawless! Technically, it is top-notch (graphics, sound). The gameplay is very good, the controls flow smoothly. The map is very large, with a lot of side missions. It kept my interest intact until I finished it. Highly recommended for those who enjoy fantasy stories, the evolution of the hero throughout the story, without excessive difficulty.

This review is about the edition: Game of The Year

I finished the game and besides the sound and graphics, which are excellent, I have to say that as a game it is very good and worth the money if you get it now. The story is not too short but not too long either, however, it is satisfactory and quite interesting, especially for those who know about lotr. Now there are also side quests that are good, but as you engage with them, you realize that they become repetitive, but personally, it didn't bother me. The gameplay is very good with amazing animations, and if you time it correctly, you can even see cinematic scenes. Finally, if you want to unlock all the trophies, you can easily spend around 40 hours on the game, otherwise, if you stick to the story only, you can finish it in 4 hours, there are also DLCs that add another 4 hours. That's it, the game is very beautiful and has great music, and for the money, it is worth having in your collection...

The game is really good. I liked almost everything. The "world" in my opinion is as big as it needs to be, so you don't have to spend many boring hours searching for what you want. The combat is very good, the mechanisms of the game as well as its graphics are satisfactory with very detailed designs on the costumes of the uruk for example.

The game is huge. I completed the story in 20 hours and I was still at 54% with many side missions and two more campaigns that last just as long. The graphics are simply outstanding and the combat left me more than satisfied. It reminds me of the controls in Assassin's Creed, especially in terms of stealth. If you don't get easily tired, this game can provide you with a month of continuous gameplay. However, I must say that the open-world is not as big, which means that if you have played something like Skyrim, Oblivion, or Assassin's Creed, it might feel a bit limited. But for 25 euros that I bought it, it's definitely worth it.

The game is very good, not too big and not too small. Beautiful graphics, plenty of battles. Plenty of side quests and power ups. The only downside is the combat system that reminds me of Batman. I would have preferred it to be the same as Lord of the Rings Return of the King from the past decade, with the infinite combos that could take down 5 enemies with one hit.

We are talking about a 2014 release, however, the game is very good. The graphics are very detailed and beautiful, as you can see every detail in the hierarchy pyramid of the Uruk's faces and surroundings. The story is short, but the combination of side quests and the nemesis system in the hierarchy of the Orcs make it addictive to the point where it will challenge you at times. As a character, you become stronger with the upgrades that offer you several options, whether to control, kill, give threatening orders, or make the Uruks fight each other. The DLCs, Lord of the Hunt and The Bright Lord, are the icing on the cake. Especially The Bright Lord, where you are Celebrimbor with the ring and his powers at your disposal, trying to defeat Sauron in his own territory.

It's like playing Assassins Creed with Batman Arkham, for those who like these two games, they will be thrilled with this one. Endless gameplay with the nemesis system, and when I say endless, I mean it. You brand all the warchiefs and captains, then kill them and start from the beginning until you find all the epic runes for your weapons or upgrade them to level 26. The story is decent, the combat system is the same as Batman Arkham and Assassins Creed, the graphics are very good, the only annoying thing is that it constantly spawns enemies, especially when you try to clear an entire stronghold and just when you reach the middle of the stronghold, suddenly you see on the mini map that all the orcs have reappeared in the areas you cleared. It's ridiculous, especially when you want to kill or dominate a specific captain or warchief. That's the only negative aspect, otherwise it's a very good game.
