The cypress has characteristic foliage with dense needle-like leaves and forms small fruits, the well-known cypress cones. The common cypress can be planted in a pot in the yard or on the balcony and reach a height of up to 3 meters. We choose pots that have holes at the base to drain the water and use general-purpose potting soil enriched with nutrients. Although it is resistant to water scarcity, in the first year of planting the tree will need regular abundant watering once a week to develop its roots. Generally, when they grow, cypresses need watering more in spring when their vegetation develops and in autumn before the cypresses go dormant.
