It is not mentioned anywhere that both batteries are necessary for operation.

With the two batteries and the turbo option, it is a very powerful machine. It easily sucks up all the leaves and essentially cleans the outdoor areas, it has wheels and you can easily maneuver it. However, leaves inside grass, especially if there is moisture, need to be first collected with a classic rake. I haven't used it much as a blower, I hope it will withstand the test of time!!
