I bought 2 to put them in my zfs array and they gave up in less than 2 months with minimal use after the initial resilver. They probably use some cheap controller and disconnect permanently... Avoid it at all costs and go for more reputable and tested solutions.
It does exactly what it should. Nice external finish, lightweight and quiet. Data transfer is quite fast. The packaging is very well done. I would buy it again.
I had recently bought it and had transferred all my files, photos, and videos of a lifetime, and I would buy another one for backup, but I hadn't had the chance. I had a few on other storage disks, but everything was gathered there. We used it a little for transferring photos from our phones. It was very slow with each transfer, and the files were gradually getting lost because it couldn't handle them. A few days ago, it stopped working and made a noise. My brother is a computer technician, so I gave it to him to see if he could recover the files. Unfortunately, he told me that the head is damaged, and it requires a specialized laboratory with high costs, of course. Damn it, Intenso! Always make backups, don't leave it, you never know when the external disk will betray you. Stay away from it, and from now on, I will probably prefer to store in the cloud.
I have 4 external hard drives in general, and this is the largest (2TB) that I got for backing up the others... It is the most useless one out of all that I have... I never managed to copy my files from the other drives because this poor thing cannot handle the large volume of data... you have to copy the GBs one by one, otherwise it gets tired or takes 3-4 days to copy them... it makes noise as if it's about to explode and sometimes my laptop recognizes it, sometimes it doesn't recognize it at all... I have regretted the moment I got it for 1.5 years now...
I have been using it for about 6 years to transfer files from the computer. The build quality is average, but it survived 2 accidental small hits. It makes noise when connected and files are being transferred. It had a problem once or twice during this whole period, where the computer didn't recognize it. I haven't lost any files, but I am cautious and overly careful with it. I will also buy a second hard drive for more security, but for now, it does its job and is worth its price 100% (1 TB purchased then for 30€)
I got it exclusively for my Android TV. The only thing that bothers me is that when the TV is turned off, it occasionally makes a small sound (like the TV is scanning the disk). You don't notice it when you're watching TV, but when you're sleeping, it's annoying (at least for me).
I bought it in August 2018 at the same price I see today. It has been working non-stop on my PC for years, while I turn it on and off every day (I use it as a backup). It has proven to be extremely durable. It has never had any issues, and the noise is minimal. I will replace it for precautionary reasons by buying an identical one

There is some small anti-vibration protection inside, but not from all sides.
The USB3 adapter that comes with the box does not make it slower than when I tested it directly on my desktop's SATA.
I think that if you avoid drops, it is definitely worth the 55 euros.

As a one-year owner of the external hard drive, I can say that it's worth its money in terms of speed. In terms of noise, sometimes it can be heard, but it's not that annoying.
It also works flawlessly with quick resume on the Series X, and for the 55€ I bought it, you won't find anything better at this price

I mainly use it for gaming for many hours, but not only that, I have had it for about 4 years and it has never had any issues, neither on my PC nor on my PS4 which I am currently using it with.
I have it connected to my PS4, I have the 1TB version of the hard drive and currently it opens applications quite quickly and I am satisfied with it... it is quiet and also does not heat up at all... I saw many comments saying "don't get it, etc." now what can I say, I hope for the best...!
Update! It has served me very well and now I have it on my PS5 without any problems and I can say that it runs very fast! If you have a PS5, it's worth storing your PS4 games there! I highly recommend it!
I bought this disk 2 months ago for 139€. It's the 2nd time it gives me the message: error "The disk structure has been destroyed and it cannot be read". Unfortunately, the first time, due to inexperience, I couldn't recover almost any of the files I had saved on it. Now, after the second failure it has presented, I will either withdraw it or connect it to the TV to at least save television programs for as long as it lasts. It has never fallen down. I will never buy an INTENSO disk again, not even with bullets...
I transferred all my files, about 250GB, a couple of times, and now it doesn't open at all, so I lost all my old photos and many other useful files... DON'T BUY IT!!!
I have had the Intenso Memory Case 1 TB for a week now. It seems fine so far and it is quite fast. I don't plan on filling it up, initially I will need about 200 GB (for backups, programs, photos, etc). It also has a two-year warranty, so I am covered. As for its construction, the top part gets fingerprints if you don't hold it in a special way, and for some reason, it attracts dust from nowhere, but that's not a problem.
I should add that I bought it because my Toshiba Canvio Basics 1 TB broke for no reason (after rare use - within 11 months) and the store where I bought it was asking for up to 30 euros to resolve the issue, even though I was still under warranty, so I didn't proceed and bought the Intenso instead (from a large chain of stores this time, for better support, in case any issues arise, which I hope won't happen). I will provide regular updates.
Update 27/8/2021: After 5 months of using this drive, I have to say that it is very fast and does its job perfectly. I am extremely satisfied. I have allocated about 200 GB, as I mentioned back in March.
In relation to the Samsung M3 Portable 1TB USB 3.0 that I also have, there is a significant difference in file transfer. It is very slow, which I did not expect. Otherwise, it seems to be of good quality on the outside. Time will tell about its performance. Initially, the computer did not recognize it and had to restart, which did not happen with the Samsung. Look elsewhere for better options from more reputable and guaranteed brands to have peace of mind. That's all for now, I will update if there are any updates...
I bought the (5TB) Black Friday disk for 89€, with the intention of shucking it and using the disk with a SATA connection. From internet references, I read that the disk most likely had an internal SATA interface and was possibly a Seagate, or if I was lucky, a Toshiba. So, in the first test I did with HD Sentinel to check the condition of the disk before shucking it, it turned out to be a Western Digital WD50NPZZ! After getting over the pleasant shock of the model that was inside (both WD and SATA interface), reality set in. During the reinitialize disk surface test with HD Sentinel at 94%, the speed dropped abruptly to 3MB/s (temperature at 45 from 40-41 in previous days). Not bad or damaged, but... strange. I suspected that the USB to SATA controller was responsible since it appeared on the fifth and final day of the test, while everything was fine until then. Because it was WD, I decided to take the risk: I shucked it (which was surprisingly easy as shown in the images, with 3 clips that open without damaging the case) and ran an HDDScan. The values given by the disk on SATA were logical, so I decided to keep it. I hesitate to recommend the disk as an external one, as it comes with its genuine case, due to fear of the controller. Note that it did not fail any tests for me, but I expected it to complete 5 days of reinitialize without any issues in HD Sentinel, which did not happen. Anyway, if you want a cheap 2.5" (SMR) disk for archiving purposes with a SATA connection, I highly recommend it. If you want a cheap CMR disk for RAID and more mission-critical applications, get a Western Digital My Book >= 8TB and shuck it. As an external drive like this one (and to be fair, the same applies to most externals with USB): be careful with the controller!
After 4 years of minimal use, at some point the computer stopped recognizing him, I tried reinstalling the drivers and other procedures that could help but nothing worked. So I had to "break" his case to remove the disk from inside and connect it directly with SATA in case it recognizes it. It worked, I managed to recover my files.
Also, I scanned it with the mini tool partition wizard and found 180 something thousand bad sectors, which means the disk is going straight to the trash.
I have had it for over 1 year, initially I had it on the television and I can say that it worked quite well. Now I just have it as a backup and it hasn't presented any issues. Additionally, it is quite fast in data transfer.
He has had it for 6 years. It is like new, no problems (with moderate use). The file transfer speed has dropped a bit, as always when a disk gets full.
Bad purchase!
Without falling down and without causing any damage to it, it simply didn't work (the computer didn't recognize it). Luckily, I saved a small percentage of the files.
Disappointment!
I have had it for 3 months, it seems durable, the speed is relatively good, and it is quiet. The LED helps to know if it is working or not and if it is recognized by the USB ports. I would like it to have a slightly longer cable.
In some large files, it does not transfer for me. However, it may also be my computer's fault. Files over 8GB
Tragic! Stay away from this disk, guys. I bought 2TB and ended up with only 660 gigabytes... Yes, only! "There is insufficient disk space to complete operation" when I tried to transfer some video files, not even 4GB...
update (22/9/2020): now it doesn't even read it! Like many others here! I took it out and put it in a docking station, but it still doesn't read it there. I probably lost family photos and videos from the past three years. STAY AWAY FROM INTENSO!!
