The texts of this volume attempt to approach the thought of K. Kastoriadis in relation to the current political and social situation, to analyze the concept of democracy, which is so misunderstood and distorted - from its inception in ancient Greece to the present day, to determine the philosopher's contribution to the emergence of democracy as a fundamental element of the autonomy, to also compare his ideas with those of other thinkers who are imbued with the idea of political change, to highlight points of convergence and divergence, to ultimately highlight the importance of an important work for the difficult situation that modern societies are going through.
