I am a programmer. I wanted a higher resolution than HD and I wanted to move away from dual screens. At the same time, I wanted to play games. The most standard choice would be 2x 27-inch 2k monitors, but in this case I would only have one of the two for games and it would be in 2k. I could go for 4k, for better resolution/larger screen, but at this resolution either you have to go for a much larger screen (which doesn't suit me because I don't want it far away) or you have to go for a smaller one than 38 inches with a higher ppi, which I didn't want. So, the 3840x1600 resolution is a super middle solution. It gives you 2 hd screens in width + about 600 pixels in height. For devtools or generally a little more height in the code is just right. The surface it gives you is really what you need, smaller would be cramped, larger would start to become useless or the edges would become impractical. This one at 144Hz covers me fully even for games. It requires a slightly more powerful GPU, but personally with a used 3080 I have been very satisfied. It literally plays everything in full resolution and settings. Its speakers are satisfactory for watching a video or playing music in the background, but nothing great overall. It definitely needs a display port to have full resolution and refresh rate, which is included. Very easy installation. I found it on sale for 900 and it was worth it.

It only works with the mother display port cable, at least from what I have tried so far it has some issues.
Overall, it is very good, especially for WFH, but no, in my opinion, it is not worth so much for a 38-inch screen.
