It's time to accept the reality regarding political Islam. It will not disappear from the scene, as it has deep roots in most Muslim societies. Political Islam is a major social movement that has various manifestations. The Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt perceives developments differently than the Justice and Development Party in Turkey and Hezbollah in Lebanon. Therefore, it is imperative to better understand the complex nature of the phenomenon. This acknowledgment is particularly relevant to Greece, which borders dense Muslim populations. Everywhere, political Islam gains supporters and shapes political developments. The publication of the Greek translation of the book is done in the hope of offering a new interdisciplinary approach that will enrich domestic literature.
