I tried it for my 65-year-old father because it is stock Android and relatively clean in terms of functionality (it does not have bloatware like most well-known brands)
One week now everything is ok. I have no issues with calls. The phone is very good and beautiful in white that I got. In terms of speed, it is very good with 8 GB of RAM, to find something better you have to go over 250 euros. And of course, it is not a gaming phone. If it has any issues with calls, I will mention it. Finally, after the second week, I also had the same problem with calls. And as time goes by, it gets worse. It's a shame. It's going back for a refund.
Update... 22/06/24 after two returns, they fixed it for me (they didn't want to refund me) the problem it had is gone (about 25 days in operation) and the phone is ok. Guys, it must also play a big role if you have an old sim card. I happened to change provider and also changed sim card with new ones. This must have played a role too. Now the phone is fine. For its price, it's ok. And it's very beautiful in white. The negative thing I find is that the battery doesn't last long.
After a month and a half with this mobile phone, I can say that it has completely satisfied me. I don't play games and I can't give an opinion on that, but as far as internet browsing, Bluetooth connection, call quality, speaker performance, and battery life are concerned, I am very pleased. The camera system requires a little practice, it has interesting lenses and multiple settings, it's worth experimenting with. I didn't encounter any problems with my calls, unlike others, on the contrary, they hear me loud and clear. For the money, it is an absolutely honest value for money.
And I also experienced the well-known issue with the call dropping for the mobile phone owner while the other person can hear me just fine. I contacted customer service and they told me to send it in for inspection. This means inconvenience and having to set it up again from scratch when I receive it back... It surprises me that a well-known company made such a mistake with this particular mobile phone! It's a shame because otherwise it is a decent mobile phone!
I encountered the problem of not being able to hear the person I'm talking to. I press the speaker button so that the call doesn't end. If there is another way, please inform me. They told me to send it to the service center, but it will be delayed and I will lose my data. The only thing that works is when you can't hear the person you're talking to, you switch it to speaker mode. This way, the conversation continues. It's quite fast for a mobile phone, and it has a clean Android system. Overall, it's very good for its price
I bought it for my wife on July 25th and immediately it had a problem with the speaker....when you talk, the call suddenly cuts off. I took it to the store where I bought it (they told me then that the exchange can be done within 7 days and not 14, which I had gone) and they sent it to the service center on August 21st after I changed the SIM cards that were old. Until today, 3 weeks later, despite my complaints, I DID NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE (MOTOROLA doesn't deserve to respond)....I don't have a phone or the money. Stay away.

I have had this mobile phone since the end of August, today is June 3, 2024. Okay, this phone, considering its reduced price, is quite satisfactory. I bought it for €200. The phone has some lag, but not at an annoying level. It should be noted that I have filled up the storage space with demanding games and many photos and videos. The only problem is that there is no gallery for the photos; they are all stored in Google. I inserted a SIM card, made several phone calls, and it works fine. It charges very quickly, approximately one hour from 0% to 100%. I read somewhere in the description that it has good GPS orientation. I have checked it, and there is no difference compared to other phones; the location is exactly the same. The sound can be heard from both the top and bottom speakers, with the bottom one being louder. AND THE MOST IMPORTANT thing that I didn't see mentioned anywhere is that it can connect to 5G Wi-Fi and mobile data up to 4G
UPDATE:
With the latest update (version THA33.31-40), the following problem has been resolved. So, I will simply leave the original review for historical and practical reasons (e.g. for someone to know what problem they may encounter when purchasing the phone or any Motorola device in general, for all owners to proceed with the update, etc.).
The rating is now four (4) stars objectively for the phone, but of course, the whole story lasted for 3 months and more - kudos to my mother's patience in using it (but also the terrible customer service from 3rd party stores in such cases... no discussion about refunding or immediately replacing the device).
In short: the problem with the calls no longer exists (with update version THA33.31-40), the phone is a decent affordable device, and I will not buy Motorola again (at least for the next few years). Whoever gets burned by it...

!!! ATTENTION TO ANYONE CONSIDERING PURCHASING !!! READ THIS !!!
I bought the phone for my mother and set it up myself (transferring data from Samsung S9+). At first glance, the phone seems very satisfactory for its price (165 euros) - acceptable quality, very fast (8GB RAM), and with "clean android" / without bloatware, good screen with the 90Hz display, good camera, not tested for gaming and won't be used for that, but okay for everything else...
!!! BUT... !!!
The phone has a SERIOUS KNOWN problem that no one mentions in the reviews (if it hasn't happened to others, then all is well... otherwise, write an update, guys!).
During a call, and seemingly at random times and locations, the sound stops working for the owner. Meaning, you stop hearing the person you're talking to, while they can still hear you (their microphone works fine) and the call continues normally. So far, it has happened in about 70% of the calls, as I mentioned in different locations and at different times (e.g. sometimes it happens after 1 minute of the call, the last time it happened after 6:30 minutes of the call), but always shortly.
The problem is known in the forum, and the moderators have suspiciously stopped being active in the discussion - see here (with relevant complaints from users):

Edit: I have tried every relevant or "random" solution I found on any forum, regardless of what is written in the above link (official Lenovo/Motorola forum). No progress, the problem persists. The 1* rating remains, and I seriously recommend AVOIDING THE PURCHASE of this phone. Also, I cannot verify it, but users in the above forum claim that it happens with other phones in the series as well - so be careful.
Good mobile phone so far, I have it for about a month.
Fast in all applications but one negative is that for some strange reason sometimes the photos are with a relative delay, resulting in shaking the phone and getting a blurry photo or even cutting off your "legs". First time I encounter something like this. Also, in fast-paced photos one after the other, some of them came out as "negatives" from film (weird)
Honest for its price. It hasn't stuck anywhere for me, 8 gb ram is more than enough and as for the processor that I was afraid would be slow, I haven't had any issues so far. I was impressed by how lightweight it is. It's worth it for 185€.
Second day of use, absolutely satisfied. Compared to the old Redmi note 8 4/64 2019 that it replaced, the moto 23 is like day and night. Battery with autonomy of over a day with full use and no lagging. I will come back in a few months after I have used it.
Very good value for money. And "clean" android, without styles/themes/ads/bloatware. It was also mentioned by a friend as a "complaint" that it doesn't even have a good Gallery, it only has stock android / and Google apps inside.
So I've been using it for about 10 days. My previous one was realme 7. I have no problem with calls and signal. Neither with the internet (data or wifi) it has an issue. It is decent. The camera is also very good. It bothers me a little that it doesn't have its own app for photo gallery like most phones, but I have to use the Google app. I also miss a sidebar that the realme had and I could record videos from my screen or translate a screen... anyway, details! Finally, I would like the alarm setting to be a little simpler, because I'm still not completely sure if it will go off when I set it... but I'll find out where it will go, right? The main thing is that the 8 GB RAM does what they promise. Also, the battery charges quickly and has good duration. From morning until night with a lot of browsing all day, when I go to sleep it still has 30-40% battery with data on or wifi and bluetooth. I think Motorola knows how to make decent machines even if they lack some gadgets and for 192 euros, it's perfect!
I will come back after a year to say that nothing has changed from my initial evaluation and I see that now it has dropped to 130
