I recently got it and I don't have much experience with it, but I see that it's worth its money and it does its job very well. In tracking mode, it follows the object and after a while, it returns exactly to its normal position. Maybe the only thing I would like is for it to have a 2K or higher resolution. I have other similar cameras, but this one meets my requirements better. The price is reasonable and fair. I recommend it
The camera worked fine for exactly one month. Then it started not recording to the card - it only sent notifications. I changed the card with a new one, it worked fine again for one or two weeks and then the same thing happened. It sends notifications but doesn't record to the card.
P.S.
Finally, be careful with the setting that, although I had checked it thoroughly, had a setting that I hadn't seen.
The card was full and needed formatting. There is a setting to record all day or only record moments when there is movement. When the card is full, it needs formatting.

For its price, it is simply excellent! It has plenty of features, but it has one major negative aspect.. Okay, you install the camera and when it detects motion, it starts recording. It notifies you on your phone that it has detected movement and then you can view the footage it recorded. Afterwards, you can save it to the memory card you have inserted.. The issue is that you don't have the ability to tell it "record everything you detect". You have to see them yourself and decide which ones to save.. This is a problem because you can miss recordings, as the footage it sends you only lasts for a short time and you have some time to save them or they will be lost. Also, its sensitivity is quite poor, as it simply captures everything.. rain, insects, cats, etc. and it is annoying because it sends notifications quite frequently for the slightest thing. BUT! For the 40-50 euros I spent, I am satisfied
Very good for its price. My microphone broke after two months, but that's a minor issue and it doesn't have the best resolution, especially at night. Simply value for money.
Easy installation, crystal clear image day and night, camera microphone so and so (Things need to happen next to the camera to have proper sound, otherwise you only hear noise), nice design and quite good build quality.. With a 50 bucks you do your job, too many words are poverty.

The review concerns the sister in the 510. Their difference is only in two more LEDs that it has compared to the 500, it's not worth going to the 510. I have both and the projection at night doesn't help to show the best image, they have exactly the same image. The only thing the projectors do is create panic and alarm, which is very powerful, but only for that, not for the image at night. So if you find the 500 cheaper, it's worth going to the 510. Both are very good, just like the 310 and 320, but these two do not rotate. The last two are waterproof and the four are very easy to install and at a very good price
Amazing camera. I have bought three for all the spaces where I wanted to use a camera. The camera is used with a micro SD card without payment to the cloud. Tremendous capabilities. It is worth its money. Especially for outdoor use, get it with closed eyes!
Whoever rates it well probably just put it there and left it as a showcase and saw that it looks clear and says wow fantastic camera. However, it is garbage for the trash can unless you only want it as a paperweight or to constantly monitor on a screen because notifications or when you will receive anything for anything at any sensitivity level or when 3 people will enter your house and the camera will not send you anything. This in all combinations of settings. And both will harm you because in one case you will stop caring and at some point you will pay for it or they will simply enter. The AI does not work. If the realme camera takes 10, this one takes barely 1 because it only works for permanent viewing without notifications and as a paperweight. I am forced to replace it with a cheaper one in order to increase the level of security. Tragic! Give it away, my friend, don't be stingy and pull your hair out. Don't get it!
Very good camera, easy installation and connection with the app and easy to share with a second person in the house.
Good image both day and night. Average sound. If you don't have good internet, it's a problem because it lags. Recording is a big issue. I have changed two memory cards and sometimes it doesn't recognize them or records half a day and the other half nothing.
Owner for a month, its signal works perfectly, I can monitor remotely and my experience is very good. The only issue it has is that if you enable motion detection, it activates even with a moving towel on a string and follows the movement, behaving as if it had a stroke. On the other hand, something is wrong with its software because it activates even with the passing of a cat during person detection, so it sends a notification for a person, and if you receive such a thing during the night, it can be stressful. Therefore, the AI algorithm doesn't work so well, hence the four stars. I will come back with a new edit.
Placed in an outdoor location with enough humidity (not directly exposed to rain) for almost six months and it hasn't presented any problems. The only downside is that the zoom doesn't have perfect image quality, which is understandable since you can't expect everything for 50€. But overall, I am very satisfied, I believe it is the best in its category! It is important to set it to restart on its own to avoid freezing. If anything changes, I will come back!
Very easy installation and connection of each camera to the application. Excellent image clarity, especially in the morning. Perhaps a slightly wider image range would be desirable. Very satisfied with the first few days of using them.
Terrifyingly beautiful camera, terrifying quality, the best for outdoor use, you will be absolutely satisfied, I think it competes with cameras worth five times as much. You can have a file from the recording material with an SD card or with a few euros, maximum 4€, you can have iCloud at any time. I recommend it blindly, basically it is a one-way street.
Just to inform you, a technician named Cameron has installed it for me, for someone who doesn't know, it's a bit difficult to install it in an outdoor space. And just to inform you, I would recommend someone who knows to install it
When I bought it, I had it indoors and everything was fine. As soon as I took it outdoors, which is its specialty, then the problems with connection and image and video transmission started. It took a long time to connect and also took a long time to display the videos it had on the SD card. Mind you, it is connected to Tp Link deco. The tp link deco is 3 meters away from the camera with a brick in between. The signal is 18 bars and there are 2 other cameras that work perfectly. I wouldn't buy it again, and even if they gave it to me as a gift, I would give it away.

Very good and easy to connect with wifi and through the application. It seems to be made of good quality plastic material. It will show with time...
For now, it still doesn't recognize any memory card (I have tried several), but I will try to buy a class 10 up to 8gb since the ones I have are 64gb and above, and they might not be compatible.
I would like a wider range in the lens, especially in the horizon.
To say whether a product is good or not, you should have tried something similar. However, I will say that it is a very good camera, easy menu, reliable notifications. It has not presented any problems so far after a month of installation. Very good clarity up to about 10 meters. Moreover, the pixels are not sufficient for high clarity at longer distances. You can see what you need to see and more.
Perfect camera... I have installed it in Pelion. It has amazing image quality day and night. For internet connection, I have purchased a router with a card... It captures an amazing signal at 6 meters from the router, with some walls in between, approximately one meter... The purchase was made for 54 euros... The camera is amazing... I believe it is one of the best cameras on the market...
After several months of use, the camera disappointed me... Firstly, sometimes it disconnects and the application shows "disconnected," resulting in gaps in the recordings. Additionally, the human recognition function is tragic!! At levels 8 and 9, it missed recordings... of people... so I had to set it to 10, which detects anything... even cats. Then I had to set the human recognition to 8 because it became annoying to constantly trigger without reason, and I also set motion detection to 1 for security to avoid missing recordings... but it still triggers with changes in shading, light changes, leaf movement from trees, and others. It's tragic and disappointing, so I'm going for something better. I wonder about the reviews unless they have thoroughly tested it.

I have had it for about a month. It is placed in an outdoor area that is partially protected by a roof. Nevertheless, it is exposed to direct sunlight and rain.
I already have the C200 and C310, but I wanted to replace the C310 with another outdoor camera with pan+tilt. So, I will compare the C500 with the C310 that it replaced.
The 310 has a higher resolution, but both have a clear image day and night, faces are clear on both, and I don't miss the extra pixels from the change I made. What I miss is the larger Field of View of the 310. In object tracking mode, the camera rotates very quickly and tracks everything, but I don't know how durable the constant fast movement in both axes will be over time.
In terms of quality, if it were for indoor use, it would be perfect, but for outdoor use, I imagined something metallic and vandal-proof like CCTV cameras. We will see how it withstands the sun and dust in an outdoor environment.
For its price, it's fine. I have connected it at home and use it for security with various alerts. The sensor levels are quite good since I have a pet. I think it covers you well for its price if you want something simple
Quality construction, clear image, very easy installation, user-friendly android software, small & discreet size, beautiful.............BUT...........not TP LINK software to monitor them from a computer with windows. Huge disadvantage for me. TP LINK recommends ispy but it doesn't work well and doesn't support all functions............like rotation and others. Create a software for windows yesterday. It's a shame. That's why 4 stars from me.
!!! REVIEW AFTER 10 DAYS OF OPERATION !!!
VERY NEGATIVE
1. Significant delay in response (image transmission) 2 to 5 seconds.
2. It has completely disconnected twice and required unscrewing the small cap with the oring on top of the camera head to RESET and reconnect the camera from the beginning in the tapo app software. This means that if someone is away from home for a long or short time, they will not have a functioning camera until they return and perform a RESET and reinstallation. The stars are reduced to three.
Very good and high quality for its price. The application is quite good with the ability to record in the cloud, and the updates with motion detection are practically helpful for space control and searching recordings. The connection with a remote router is also very good (placing it outside the security entrance door and the router inside the house in a bedroom, not in the area where the entrance is located). The camera has not desynchronized with the router in a week of operation. The only thing that may be needed is for someone to open and close the application if it is permanently open on the mobile in order for the live video to resume functioning. Otherwise, I would prefer a wide-angle lens, but the pan/tilt function is okay. The microphone is very sensitive and the communication speaker is good. Overall, very satisfied.
AFTER ONE MONTH OF OPERATION:
The camera has never desynchronized, even after power outages and router restarts. I only had to restart it once by disconnecting the power because the LED indicator light was permanently red. Note: the sudden change in light when it operates in complete darkness, such as when the lights in the apartment building staircase turn on with a timer, may be perceived as "motion" or "obstructing the camera". I remain very satisfied after one month of operation.
With a 100-line fiber optic connection, one would expect to have a relatively satisfactory image. Terrible in capturing faces and features, as well as in reading letters and numbers at a distance greater than 6-7 meters. It frequently disconnects from the network, while the distance from the router does not exceed 5 meters. I do not recommend it to someone who seeks greater security in sensitive areas...
