The Cudy P5 is a 5G SA/NSA AX3000 Wi-Fi 6 CPE. It is ideal for performing demanding tasks thanks to the high 5G speed it offers, reaching 2.4 Gbps (DL/SA) and 900 Mbps (UL/SA), perfectly matching the powerful dual-band Wi-Fi 6 with speeds of 3000 Mbps for 4K streaming. It also supports Mesh technology for extended coverage. VPN and DNS over TLS allow secure connection through public networks.
The Cudy P5 has been upgraded with the new Qualcomm X62 5G modem, which supports new features in the 16th version of 5G, offering access to new bands, faster 5G speeds, and ultra-low latency.
It also features two SIM slots for increased reliability and support for multiple networks. The detachable cellular antennas allow for improved signal reception through SMA interface connectors.
The ultra-fast Wi-Fi 6 connects 4× more devices
The full channel width of 160 MHz allows a maximum speed of 2402 Mbps in the 5 GHz band, which is best for lag-free gaming and flawless quality live streaming. The long-range 2.4 GHz signal covers an extensive area, so you can enjoy the network in the backyard. OFDMA and the powerful CPU allow 4× capacity for more devices.
Backup SIM slots
The dual SIM slots provide redundancy and the dual Nano SIM slots for redundant backup. Both SIM slots can be filled. Automatic and manual modes are available for redundancy settings.
WAN Internet, 4G Backup
Set the WAN/LAN port to WAN so that Cudy can use the fixed internet from the WAN, and the 4G/5G connection works as a backup to provide you with a stable and reliable internet connection.
Easy signal reception optimization
Set the WAN/LAN port to WAN to ensure staying connected. The detachable mobile antennas allow for reception optimization by connecting extension cables up to 12 meters* to the SMA interface sockets.

With other 5G Routers in the same spot and with the same sim, while this one gives 170Mbps, the others give over 600Mbps. No difference even after the Firmware update.
A major negative reason why I give it 4 stars is that in an area with 5 signal bars, the 5G disconnects very often and switches to 4G, resulting in a significant loss of speed. From 200/400Mbps, it unfortunately drops to 20/40Mbps. (Update 1: After experimenting with the antennas and placing them all sideways instead of vertically, I managed to stay connected to 5G and not switch to 4G, and the speeds are consistently above 100 Mbps, peaking at 400.)
It does not remember the SIM card pin, and after a power outage, it requires manual startup via mobile or PC, unless you completely remove the pin from the SIM card to finish it off.
It does not support eSim or hot-swap, so be very careful to have the modem turned off when removing the SIM card.
Finally, it heats up A LOT, and unfortunately, the ventilation is from the bottom, so make sure it is at an angle to allow some sort of ventilation or air conditioning from the bottom. (Update 2: It actually has a small ventilation opening on top that is not visible at first glance. I added a small laptop cooler, and it has helped a lot to keep the temperature down.)
On the positive side, it has a very large WiFi range, and the firmware software is excellent with many features.
