First week of use. Generally, activity trackers are a decade behind smartphones in terms of screen resolution, UI, and software. However, this one has a Greek menu and an excellent battery life. With moderate use and smart tracking of heart rate, oxygen, sleep, and stress, it lasted for a week with 30% battery remaining. The GPS drains the battery, but there is no option to turn it on/off. It only activates when selecting outdoor exercise, consuming more battery. The signal is accurate. Regarding connectivity and synchronization with mobile phones and Mi Fitness, there may be difficulty syncing if you have the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 NFC (4GB/64GB), which has issues with wifi and Bluetooth. It works fine with other mobile phones. For some reason, data syncing with the app requires an internet connection, while other smartbands sync only with Bluetooth. This watch does not have NFC for contactless payments. The flashlight works very well and is incredibly convenient. Be careful with the sleep mode. If you activate it, the alarm will go off at the set time, regardless of whether you have another alarm set. It also has many sports and programs that tell you, for example, how fast to run to achieve your goal, etc. The only reason I wouldn't buy another classic activity tracker is the larger screen that resembles a smartwatch. If the price drops further, I recommend it without hesitation.
I bought the band on 25/11/22 for 90€. Today, 4/5/23, the screen of the band is burnt! As for the construction, it is good! I ordered it with the ivory strap, of course it gets dirty as it is in a light color. The measurements are mediocre to bad because it counted steps while moving the hand! I had bought it after using band 6! I would not recommend it! Update 2/6/23 After 6 months, the device broke, so I sent it back for replacement/return. According to Xiaomi, this is reported as waterproof! My use in water was simply washing hands. I returned it and their conclusion was that there was oxidation in the device! Of course, oxidation is caused by water. Of course, the replacement was not made due to 'user misuse' Since the band is waterproof, why was there water-oxidation in the device? Can someone tell me why they refer to it as waterproof if it gets water?
I had high hopes, it has many useful features BUT overall I fell into a defective one or it has its issues.
1) The strap does not fully "embrace" the device like the older, thin bands. Specifically, it fastens on the device from two sides, one side did not fasten well, resulting in constantly opening with a little pressure from jacket sleeves and risking falling off. I solved the problem by putting a little instant glue on the problematic side, which of course is not the best solution, but I did not want to risk losing the device.
2) It kept losing connection with the phone after the first few months, without any obvious reason. A message appeared on the watch that it needed to be paired again with the phone and I had to press buttons on both devices, with uncertain results. So I might miss important notifications, which was the reason I chose this device. Eventually, I sent it back for service and since I started using it again a few days ago, it has started doing the same thing. I will probably return it for good and I do not know if I would try to buy the same product or even a newer one. Especially for the strap, they should consider a different closure, I think.
Two devices within the first 6 months showed serious problems with battery charging, touch screen, and strap
The purchase was made on 08/11/22. After almost 8 months, the watch stopped working.
This was their response after a technical check:
"The technical check of the product has been completed and it has been found that the damage ("oxidation in the device") you mentioned in your request was caused by possible incorrect use. For this reason, the device is not covered by warranty.
Attached to this communication, you will find the technical report, which refers to the actions that have been taken, and photos that the store has provided us with.
From our side, no further action can be taken and we will proceed with the return of the product to you."
My question was how water entered since it is waterproof?
The answer I received was as follows:
"The store states that the product is characterized as 'waterproof' under specific conditions and always under terms defined by the manufacturer. The manufacturing company states that the 5ATM water resistance rating means that you can wear the product in pools (freshwater), shallow waters, but it is not suitable for hot showers, saunas, diving, or even simple handwashing with hot water.
You should avoid water falling at high speed, as it significantly affects the device's waterproofness. Sudden changes in water temperatures or even the atmosphere of a bath due to steam, from hot to cold, create abrupt expansions and contractions in the watch's components. These abrupt changes distort the elastic seals and flanges internally, which is even worse with soaps and detergents.
Even pressing the buttons is considered prohibited, which should be avoided while the smartwatch is submerged. All of these factors can negatively affect the integrity of the components, which in turn could allow water to pass through the gaskets and leak into the watch, causing oxidation on the circuit board.
In the case of finding moisture/oxidation on the circuit board, it means that the device's waterproofing has been compromised, and therefore, the device is not covered by warranty according to the manufacturer's specifications."

With 7 months of regular use, it initially displayed an overheating message and then the screen turned black. I would not choose it again. However, the people at skrouzt handled the entire return process flawlessly. Five stars for their service.
The first one I bought died within 10 days! Only black screen and vibration worked. I returned it and they informed me about a replacement within two days. The new one now sometimes, while it is supposed to have, let's say, 45% battery, suddenly goes black or the screen shows that it had no battery. I had the Mi band 4, fully satisfied, this one has nothing to do with it, it looks good on the outside but it's a disaster inside!
After 4 months of operation, it displayed an overheating message during charging. It no longer charges at all as soon as I plug it into the charger, it immediately shows the mi logo followed by overheating and shutting down. Additionally, even though it is a global version, because I bought it from Singapore, the Greek representative does not accept any checks on it, and at the same time, the Singapore representative does not accept it because the customer - me - is a resident of the European Union. Unbelievable but true. Very nice smart band but €70 for four months? If I had known from the beginning, I wouldn't have bought it.
The most positive thing is that it has built-in GPS and its strap is strong without coming undone at unexpected moments. Also, its large screen and the many options it provides... compared to previous models, it is much better, it has various functions that will definitely satisfy everyone except for NFC... Negative points: The most negative thing is that every time I wash my hands or go to the bathroom, it registers activity as if I am skipping rope, while I am sitting at work and not doing anything, it burns a lot of calories sometimes compared to when I am moving, and finally, the application is not updated or synchronized correctly, when I check my history, it tells me that I have fewer steps, fewer kilometers, fewer calories burned, and some days everything is at zero as if I didn't wear the watch (because it is connected to the application that is used with the mi band 4 and not the 5, 6, or 7 that have a better application called zepp life) and 3 stars because I use it a lot!!!! Update: after 4 months of full use, the amoled screen broke, probably due to water exposure, and it started showing lines, so 2 stars is a lot due to durability.
Purchased on 9/12/22 and within 7 months the screen has touch issues. Former user of the band series from 4, 5, 6, pro, and now 7 pro, and I never had a similar issue with any of the previous ones. The previous ones still work perfectly, but this one decided to stop responding to touch and often does random things on its own. Random touches are a known issue with this model and the company does not recognize the warranty, claiming it has been exposed to moisture, even though it is supposed to be water-resistant. It has never been submerged in water or a pool, just gets wet from handwashing, dishes, and showers, so just avoid it. None of the previous models had any related problems and have endured much more extensive use. The warranty coverage is simply nonexistent and laughable, as Xiaomi boasts over 10 swimming modes but couldn't even handle basic water exposure in everyday use, far from any form of swimming.
In 7 months of operation, the touch and screen activation stopped working. The band could only receive notifications and nothing else. It has been returned and the update I received is that I have to wait 1.5 months to see what is wrong.
I bought it 2 times (one initial that stopped opening-working after 10-15 days. I returned it free of charge and it was replaced without me knowing exactly what the problem was. In the following week, it stopped working again. Probably the negative reviews were true. I wouldn't try it again.
After about 5 months of use and after xiaomi band 4-5-6. Quite accurate in measurements, no comparison especially with band 6 that measured everything. Good screen, not too big nor too small. The battery doesn't last long, especially if you choose other watch faces, I have the impression that it consumes more. The first few days, the strap left a red mark and a mark on my hand, but then it was okay. At the price of 68 Euros that I bought it, it was a good purchase.
The white strap gets dirty easily unfortunately. It also doesn't recognize when I'm standing and keeps telling me to stand up, while counting hand movements as steps. It has a bit of trouble with tracking my active minutes. However, it tracks walking and swimming times, heart rate, calories, and distances very well. It sometimes misses a few laps though.
It needs to be connected to my phone every day because it resets the data every day. It's definitely not worth the money I paid (99€), as it approaches the price of a smart watch and I'm not that interested in satellites. I expected better sensors.
I bought two of the same, one for myself and one for my daughter. Within less than 4 months, mine had a touchscreen issue. After about 7 months, mine completely froze (it needed a software update, according to the store). I sent it back and it has been almost a month since I haven't received it yet. And after all this happened with mine, now (after 8 months of purchase), my daughter's stopped working. It doesn't turn on at all and displays a message saying that the temperature has risen. Two out of two? I don't think it's just a coincidence
Everything is perfect, I chose the white one because I wanted the gold detail on the screen's outline and not the silver. I thought I could change the strap to black later. Unfortunately, the base remains white and I didn't realize it... Another disadvantage is that white gets dirty quickly... but it's still a perfect watch!
Finally, a quality strap for the money you pay, good battery overall, satisfactory functions although it could have call answering via bt.
This is the first time I'm using a smart band/smart watch. I initially bought it to measure calories during soccer, basketball, and airsoft, as ideally I would like to see how many kilometers I ran in each activity. I also preferred it because it's visually more attractive than Xiaomi's basic bands.
Here comes the first major downside of the smart band: the built-in GPS only measures kilometers in running, cycling, and walking modes, not in other sports. For example, in soccer it only measures steps and calories, not distance unfortunately. If you try to replace the soccer function with the running function, then the calorie measurement has a big difference (I tried it twice).
The calorie measurement is generally satisfactory in the one month I've had it. On the other hand, the accuracy of the steps could be better as sometimes abrupt hand movements can be perceived as steps. However, this is something that will not happen in 90-95% of cases, and when it does, you will notice it.
In the other functions, the sleep tracking is accurate, with minimal deviation from actual times. The heart rate, stress, etc. measurement seems okay.
The second major downside is in the mi fitness application on the phone (I have an iPhone 11), which unfortunately does not automatically synchronize with the watch even when connected via Bluetooth. You have to manually synchronize the data every time you open the application. For example, if you synchronize it at noon and then forget to do it at night, the application will not record the remaining data. And when the day changes, everything is reset on the band and you essentially lose the measurements that you did not synchronize in the application.
The battery life surprised me pleasantly, as with the use I make it lasts between 6-7 days without charging, with an average of 2-3 sports activities (soccer-airsoft) per week. I usually have Bluetooth turned off and notifications from the phone completely disabled. If you also turn off the heart rate measurement, then its autonomy will definitely increase more.
For those interested in running, the running function with the built-in GPS will cost you about 20%-25% battery per hour, but you will have slightly better accuracy in measurement than if you use the phone's GPS with Bluetooth connection.
In summary, with a cost of around 90 euros, I can say that it looks beautiful, performs quite well, and covers almost all the needs for which I bought it. Good battery life, relatively good calorie/step tracking, etc. The only negatives are the manual synchronization (perhaps not an issue on Android?) and mainly the non-functioning of the built-in GPS (and therefore the non-recording of kilometers) in activities other than running.
My review is purely in relation to the two previous models of the same company, the 5 and the 6, with the same settings and usage. There is a significant difference in steps or strokes with the rowing that I do and a huge difference in calorie measurements. I would like someone who has it and has had the others to write and say if they noticed the same thing.
Finally, a category between smartbands and smartwatches. It's beautiful, very stylish, and suitable for both the gym and a night out. Its measurements are very accurate, making it very convenient for those who exercise and want to see various data (aerobic, anaerobic, oxygenation, etc.).
The battery is almost double that of a regular smartband 7, lasting about 8-12 days depending on usage. The themes are constantly being enriched...the only objection is the Xiaomi app...it needs a complete renovation and a more user-friendly environment.
If the price drops to 55-65 euros, it will sell like crazy.
