I use it in the living room on the ground floor. It's perfect. The nice thing is that you can find additional apps from those supported by your smart TV. I connected it with google assistant and I can control smart devices in the house.
The only downside for me is that it only works if you plug it into the socket. It doesn't work with USB. I don't know if I should try to connect it to a USB that provides more power if I can avoid using a socket.
Reliable and fast, the best TV stick I have. The only "negative" is that it doesn't get power from the TV's USB and you have to plug it into an outlet.
It runs great, no problems so far. The setup was easy. The only strange thing is that it seems to change the UI depending on the region. When I'm not using VPN, it simply shows me the apps I have, but when I connect to the US, it starts showing me a bunch of recommendations for series, movies, apps, etc. So they probably didn't focus on Greece. It's strange because there is a big difference in terms of functionality. Overall, though, I am satisfied. I installed Stremio, Smarttube, etc. without any issues, and if the TV supports it, you can open and close it and adjust the volume with the remote control.
Excellent choice to make your simple TV smart. Very easy to install and program, very fast in use. It's worth it if you have a good non-smart TV and there is no reason to change it.

Very easy to use. It turns any old device into a smart one. Mine also supports Atmos. It's very fast, although sometimes the voice search gets stuck and some TV devices don't open with just the white remote control, but that's not Chromecast's fault. It doesn't interrupt the Bluetooth when I use wireless headphones at night. I bought it for 52 euros and bought it again as a gift. By far the best purchase for me.
It's perfect. We bought it to replace the old tv box in the living room and it's just what we needed. The setup was done with the mobile phone through the google home app in 5 minutes.
It has a Greek menu but some functions are only in English, which doesn't bother me.
The remote control can also be used to control the TV via infrared, I have it selected for adjusting the volume but it has other functions in the settings. It also connects via bluetooth so you don't need to have it facing the chromecast or the TV, only for using the infrared functions.
Of course, the software is always up to date as it is a Google product. It runs google tv launcher instead of android tv but the difference is minimal between the two. Also, it goes without saying that it plays Netflix, Disney+, apple tv+, plex, etc.
I highly recommend it for anyone looking for an affordable solution that won't disappoint them.
What can I say about this product.. The best purchase I have made in years, by far! Let me clarify the following, both my TV and Chromecast and my phone are in English. I don't know if it has Greek, I didn't even bother to check because I was already using Google Home with Assistant on my phone (I have smart bulbs and have connected my air conditioners) and Google Assistant DOES NOT... support Greek. Surely, the Chromecast will have Greek as well, it can't not have it, but if you want 100% content and capabilities, then ONLY in English. Also, my TV is smart, it's just not Android, which means I don't have access to the apps I use for movies, etc., which is why I bought the CWGTV 4k.
The first thing I did was download the VPN I've been using for years (yes, you can use the CWGTV 4k with VPN, it has a great selection on Google Play, I use Nord), and connect it to the USA where I permanently reside. I downloaded AFTVnews for side downloading, with which I have downloaded APKs for the apps that are not available on Google Play (due to the country where my Google account is, meaning Greece).
So, I downloaded Crackle, Tubi, Pluto, Freevee, SmartTube (instead of YouTube but without ads and sponsors), as well as other apps like Max, Paramount, Starz, Shudder, AMC+ to get recommended content as they are channels I have a subscription to through Prime. All of the above are channels that I CANNOT download through Google Play, due to the country. From Google Play, I have downloaded Netflix, COSMOTE TV, Spotify, Plex, Prime.
I have set up Cosmote TV on split tunneling on Nord, so only Cosmote TV goes through Greece and ALL the rest runs through the USA. This naturally gives me access to all Greek channels through Cosmote TV, all the movies and series from all the aforementioned channels that don't play here, PLUS free live TV from Google, Pluto, Tubi, Plex with endless content (we're talking about OVER 500 free channels). I have thrown away the internal antenna that was only for the classic channels like ANT1, etc., and didn't work half the time (I'm on the ground floor), I have also bought a Belkin INC001btBK with a Xiaomi 65w power supply and connected the Chromecast with Ethernet and it runs without any issues. Not that I had any issues with wireless, in the photos I have posted the speed I have wirelessly on the Chromecast, it runs everything without any buffering ANYWHERE, I just prefer to connect it wired if there's the possibility.
Also, you can connect it to your phone through Google Home / Google TV, and control everything with voice commands, either from your phone by saying "Ok Google/ Hey Google" or from the Chromecast remote (which is 1/3 the length of the TV remote and even smaller than my glasses!). So, besides the fact that the TV now simply turns on and off with the Chromecast remote (you don't need to use the TV remote), it also turns on and off with voice commands! If you have your phone charging elsewhere, for example in another room, and you're watching TV, you can use the Chromecast remote with voice commands to turn the lights on or off or control the air conditioner or ask about the temperature. Finally, you can connect Bluetooth headphones and listen directly from there. The volume buttons on the Chromecast, at least for me, only work when I have the headset connected. When I don't have it connected, the voice and only the voice, I need to adjust it from the TV remote control.
Get it YESTERDAY. It has changed my whole relationship with the television, but you need English as you need a VPN. If you want something so simple to play some Cosmote TV or Vodafone TV ok it does the job, but it's a shame not to make the most of it!
1 week of use and I am thrilled with its response speed. Value for money. It delivers on its promises very quickly. I hope it will withstand the test of time.
Perfect purchase for next level streaming and casting. Set-up and navigation is a breeze, even my 85 year old grandmother can use it. Easy access to all streaming platforms in one place. I can't recommend it enough.
Due to the age of my television, it did not support the latest version of Netflix. I purchased this for that reason and for watching Cosmote TV and EON. Everything is good so far, without any freezing or disconnections.
It connects and sets up quickly. It is perfect for what it needs to do. The only downside is that it is a bit slow in switching between applications, etc., but there are no greater demands in this budget.
It came with an adapter for the socket because the chromecast was for another market that did not have the standard European socket. I appreciate that the store included it because I did not read anywhere that it was not compatible with the Greek socket.
I bought the 1080p for use on my LG 21" in the kitchen because I was tired of constantly hearing my wife complain about not being able to catch any channels with the TV's internal antenna. I bought this and I stopped hearing her! (at least for this reason).
The device is amazing. Easy installation, everything can be done from the mobile app Google Home. I bought it because I have an LG smart TV and the Euroleague TV app is not available, as well as Stremio. Now everything works perfectly. Everything is done easily and quickly, I am thrilled.
While I was desperate with the latest upgrade of Netflix that my TV did not support, now I have also gotten rid of the Cosmote decoder and I only have this little thing hidden behind the TV. I will definitely buy another one for the bedroom TV.
I had a Xiaomi TV stick and I simply couldn't do my job (watch movies through Netflix and Cosmote). It would freeze, reboot on its own, lose synchronization with the remote, and couldn't find a network. Google simply made me realize that I had been late to buy it. It is very fast, not unstable in signal, the remote doesn't have any problems, and it is of high quality construction. If you are thinking of buying such a product, the price difference with Xiaomi's counterparts is more than worth it.
It is the best thing to buy, it works with all applications like Cosmote, etc.

I recommend it to everyone who doesn't have a smart TV.
The product is exactly as described, it arrived very quickly from the store, I connected it immediately and its installation was very easy either via mobile or via the TV. It can make a simple TV smart by connecting it to the internet and give you full capabilities on all digital platforms. Additionally, it supports Cosmote TV and Vodafone TV.
Use for 2 weeks on stremio. Excellent response to all image qualities. It also supports Dolby atmos except for TRUEHD so for those who want something extremely premium in sound look elsewhere, I have soundbar q600a with oled LG B3 and it works perfectly. Recommended.
For the money, probably the best. Android TV 12 with Google TV. Although the hardware is very basic, the interface is satisfactory. Full HD supports AV1 codec, which makes it future-proof! A simple 1080p TV or an old smart TV will make it completely modern.
I will mention some slightly more... troublesome things about it, which may not be of great importance to most people, but may be useful to others:
- It does not natively support Dolby Digital Plus (EAC3) or Atmos. Files that only have this audio track will only play with passthrough, so older TVs (which may also be the purpose of buying the Full HD version) may not have sound in these files.
- Most apps do not support automatic frame rate switching, only Netflix, Plex, SmartTube, Stremio from the ones I have tested. Disney+, Apple TV, Cosmote, Vodafone, EON, Cinobo, Ertflix, YouTube Official... play movies at the frame rate of the interface! This is generally a negative aspect of the platform and can be somewhat solved with an app called tvQuickActions Pro (which also has various other good customizations).
- It has limited RAM, so it is not suitable for heavy loading with background apps.
- The remote is small, seems fragile (but there are silicone cases available), and usually when you hold it, you don't feel the right side and you have to look at it. The Bluetooth is unstable for a few days, maybe the batteries are to blame, I think they drain quickly. It does have HDMI CEC, so it can be used with just the TV remote, but with its own remote, the interaction is faster.
Edit: I don't know if there was an update to the firmware of the remote, but for a while now it hasn't been disconnecting and I even have it with rechargeable AAA batteries. Silicone case is definitely recommended!
The only negative thing is that the remote control has very small buttons, which makes it difficult to use. Other than that, you will be able to utilize it as described.
Disappointment. It constantly loses Wi-Fi connection, although all the other devices connect just fine. It requires a restart to regain connection!
I use it for Netflix, Ertflix, YouTube, and I am very satisfied. It doesn't lag, the remote control responds directly to the device, and perhaps the only thing I would note is the sound, which is slightly lower compared to that of the television. However, after a few minutes of watching, you get used to it and adjust the sound accordingly
It is excellent. Basically, there is no need to buy an Android TV. You install this and it is 100% like an Android TV.

Good but...
With less money, you can buy the Xiaomi 2nd gen TV box, which also has Google TV, a USB port (important), and an HDMI cable so that it doesn't hang from the TV. It also has digital/analog audio output and also very good picture and sound. Even better, you can buy a TV with Android and finally get rid of the boxes.
Today I received it....of very good quality. It also had an adapter for the power. Easy installation. I wanted it for the bedroom TV which is not smart so that I can watch EON, NETFLIX, and COSMOTE TV. IT IS SIMPLY PERFECT!!! I recommend it for those who do not want to buy a SMART TV!!!
Exactly what I expected, amazing capabilities and functions. 4 stars unfortunately, due to the difficulty I had connecting to the local network.
My TV is smart, it started freezing 6 years ago and with this we were saved, it is faster than when it was new. I also have the Xiaomi box and the old Google smart stick, but they can't be compared, they haven't disconnected once and they are quite fast. Another thing that surprised me is that you don't need to turn on the TV with its own remote control, you can do everything from the Google one
Amazing device, I got the 4k UHD and it's definitely worth it. Amazing picture and sound as it has Dolby Audio. If someone doesn't want to spend so much money, they can also get the Xiaomi Tv Box 2nd gen, it's similar, almost the same. It raises the temperature, nothing crazy, just gets warm sometimes. Lastly, it connects easily with Google home.
NOTE:
Usually, as it happened with mine, the adapter is either English or American. So you need to get a converter in order for the adapter of the box to fit onto the converter and work with the Greek socket. But some stores might include it.
