In its 3rd generation, the G502 is now better with each generation. I still have the first one and the second one, and both work to a large extent, only some clicks sometimes don't register. The third generation is excellent, lighter than ever, and that matters, especially the absence of a cable gives tremendous freedom of movement for any kind of work or games. Nothing, guys, it's top-notch and a one-way street with so many programmable buttons; you buy it and keep it for years. The previous two lasted 3-4 years each. And in this generation, I read they have changed the switches for the clicks, so the problem that started to occur with the previous two will take a long time to happen if what they say is true. Expensive, but better to be expensive and good and last than cheap and constantly needing replacement with worse features. From me, it's a definite yes; gather up and get it if you're considering it.
I think it's one of the best at this time for use in both gaming and productivity as it has quite a few macro keys for customization.
Just be careful where the USB dongle receiver will be located, as I had to move it from where it was because it wasn't connecting well. Of course, inside the package, there is a good USB cable with an extra adapter so you have the cable ready either for charging or to plug in the dongle.

However, I also consider the purchase of a good mousepad equally important.
I bought the mouse coming from MX MASTER 2S. Very lightweight, good responsiveness and accuracy. The scroll wheel was too hard to the point where it hurt my finger, I don't know if it helps in gaming but it is definitely a big disadvantage in productivity. Also, I had an issue where after a while, the right and left clicks stopped working (the other buttons were functioning normally). I had it for about a month and from what it seems on the internet, it is a known problem with the "lightforce" switches and it can be fixed by leaving it in the refrigerator for 1 minute (I know it sounds like a joke, but I tried it and unfortunately it's true, just search on Reddit). I returned it and got my money back.
Amazing mouse, owner of GPX, Orochi v2, I had both mini and medium mice so I wanted to go for a large ergonomic one with plenty of buttons. Compared to the simple G502, it’s like day and night. For starters, the weight and the feet (better than the GPX) make it much easier to use, and the 100g, although it sounds quite a lot, is definitely not for the size and functions it has. The L+R clicks are the best feeling I’ve tried, definitely better than the GPX, Viper Ultimate, and the side buttons are very tactile and not sponge-like as they are on the GPX (they remind me of the sides of the Orochi v2). The plastics are also of amazing quality, the grips on the side are great too, I like that the front side is not as pointy as the old one, and also that it doesn’t have the weights inside; the 90-100g is ideal for a big ergonomic mouse. The scroll wheel is more tactile and quieter than the GPX. It has USB C and not micro like the GPX, I still don’t know about the battery; we’ll see. For palm + claw grip with large hands, it’s ideal.
For those who play with low sensitivity and lift the mouse quite a bit off the mousepad, they will definitely feel the difference from 60 to 100g, but for those who play with higher sensitivity and barely lift the mouse, they won’t have a problem. Also, something essential is that those who have quite a few shortcuts on the mouse will enjoy it; even in FPS for loot, health, speed, sniper, crouch, etc., you can easily assign everything to the mouse.
The only downside is that it doesn’t have LOD settings like the Orochi v2 + Viper Ultimate.
Update: After two years, the clicks stopped working... for such an expensive mouse, this is unacceptable; it ruins the whole positive image.
