Automatic electric water fountain for your pet by Xiaomi, with a capacity of 2 liters and filtering capability that effectively cleans the water and achieves continuous flow. The fountain attracts your pet's attention and thus encourages it to drink more water.
Remote control of the Mi Home app
In combination with the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app, it can send reminders to your phone when you need to add water, clean the device, and replace the filter. Press the power button or use the app to switch between functions for daily use.
Travel easily while your pet's water needs are met
The 2-liter volume meets the water needs of an adult cat for 4-7 days**, providing clean and safe water for your pet, allowing you to travel with peace of mind during short trips. The lid can also store water, dispensing a small amount of emergency drinking water in case of a power outage.

I have it for a few months now and so far it's very good. The durability of the pump motor will be shown over time.
Xiaomi tells you to change the filter every month (€15 for 2), but in reality, it doesn't need to be changed that often. In the app and on the LED, it says "replace filter now," but you can just say "ok, I changed the filter."
It's very easy to remove the parts for cleaning.
It doesn't make any noise.
When the water level is low, a light turns on and the pump doesn't work properly (it intentionally stops), but it comfortably fits a 1.5L water bottle, so refilling is a no-brainer.
Personally, I don't use the app because it has a lot of bloat and there is no local control, only cloud (if the internet goes down, it doesn't respond).
Positives;
1. Easy to automate, If you add a body sensor you can start it whenever your pet comes close, which is very convenient.
2. Is quiet
3. The app is responsive and 99.9% reliable.
4. Relatively easy to clean and fill up.
5. The cat loves it.
Not so positives:
is decent, but not really works as advertised.
1. When the water gets low the pump is not pushing almost at all.
2. When water is low ..the indicator is not always turning on.
3. Is very hard to see the water level from distance (>2m), missed design opportunity there should have been a small light or something to be more visible
4. There is no reason for the pump wires to stay attached to the cover.. yet. that's what they decided,, could have been separate so you can put all de parts in the washing machine for easy cleaning
5. Consumables are HUGLEY OVERPRICED!!! 7.5E for a small piece of sponge and a simple filter.. there is no excuse for this price.
UPDATE after 1+ month of usage
- the pump throwed an error that is dirty, although was perfectly clean when I open it, when assembled back was working again.
- Internet went down and all Xioami automation stooped working, although everything is connected to a local Xiaomi Gateway that is connected to router. I don't understand why all this needs to connect trough a cloud service first when there is a perfectly working local network.
Good water feeder, I just don't know how long the small fan of the water pump will "last." It connects with the Xiaomi app and sends you messages if it needs a water change, the level has dropped, or if there is a malfunction. However, it is not meant for you to leave your pet alone with it for a month and be sure that it will always work correctly.
Purchased for a stray cat to make sure it has enough water during hot days. It is in a sheltered area. It shows the error "the cover is lifted" that I saw in other reviews. The first time I thought maybe the stray cat was exploring it to see how it works, but we have a camera in the area where its food and water are located so we didn't see anything. Luckily, despite the error, it dispenses water normally. I check it regularly from the camera. So, when someone is in the area, they just lift the lid and put it back on, and the screen is fixed. After 2-3 days, the same issue occurs again "the cover is lifted". For the use we make for a stray cat that was left to us because the elderly neighbor who took care of him left, I think it's fine. For home use, I wouldn't buy it because there is a possibility that it might be defective and it would annoy me to keep playing with opening and closing the lid.
Constant problems. Stuck filter or lifted lid... of course cleaned contacts and it doesn't work... wasted money.
Now it doesn't work at all...

The solution I found, and it works for me. (I do not recommend it to anyone and you proceed at your own risk)
In my case, now out of warranty, I found that the pins from the top piece (which had springs when new and got stuck due to humidity) were not making proper contact with the base to get power.
Since they are stainless steel, the solder doesn't stick...
1) Unplug the device.
2) Take the base, turn it upside down, and after removing the plastic feet, unscrew the screws.
3) Unscrew the screw inside that holds the power supply.
4) Remove it. BE CAREFUL NOT TO CUT THE WIRES.
5) Remove the protective rubber.
6) Pass the pins over the sockets so they come out and the main one is higher.
7) Reattach the rubber for sealing.
8) Reassemble it
While it looks good, it is problematic. From the second day of use and even though I clean it every 3 to 4 days at the latest, it has issues, such as indicating that the lid is lifted when it is not, "the pump is blocked - clean it" even though it is perfectly clean and running, or it stops by itself without showing any error message on the app. One day I left in the morning and came back late at night. The cats were desperate for water. I look at the Xiaomi pet fountain and it had stopped without any apparent issue. You always need to have a backup water container. Something that makes the Xiaomi pet fountain useless. These issues are reported by users on Xiaomi's support forum but they have done nothing to improve the device. Tragic Xiaomi. Do not get it if it is not improved. Apart from the reliability issues, I must mention that the filters are expensive and hard to find. Finally, even though I clean it more frequently than the instructions and I only have two cats, a pink slime accumulates in the corners and crevices of the plastic. You will notice it if you look carefully at the crevices as well as inside the very small crevices in the pump box. This happens mainly on white plastics and not on the water container which is made of a different material. You will not easily see this slime, but you will notice it if you take a toothpick and lightly scrape the corners and crevices as it will gather on the toothpick. The same happens whether I use bottled water or filtered water. In a stainless steel bowl or ceramic, this slime does not form. This shows that the white plastics they have used are unsuitable.
Reading online about what this slime is, it is bacteria that accumulates either from the atmosphere in combination with the saliva of animals and whatever bacteria the water has and spreads on plastic containers. The conclusion is that plastic pet fountains are unsuitable as they promote the multiplication and spread of this slime, which is harmful to the health of animals. This does not happen with ceramics and stainless steel. Therefore, never again plastic pet fountains. Xiaomi has a lot of potential to release a proper and healthy pet fountain. If only they had done a little research, they would not use these plastics, but only their sale interests them.
Positives:
· The most beautiful choice for a pet fountain
· Easy to clean and convenient for the pet
· Does not make noise
Negatives:
· You do not feel safe as the pump frequently displays a "blockage" message. It is the worst thing to go on vacation and receive a notification that the water supply has stopped (I have searched endlessly for what could be wrong, but the error continues).
· High cost for filters
I let about 6 months pass for evaluation. It is a quite silent fountain provided that it has plenty of water because as the level drops, it starts making noise. Cleaning is not needed every week as long as bottled water is used. The most impressive thing is that after the 3rd month that I have it, my cat started drinking so much water like never before! For me, this was the goal.
Simply perfect.
First of all, it is NOISELESS. I mean, you can't hear anything! Not only the pump, but even the running water!
I bought it for my cat in July and it saved me every time I had to be away for 2-4 days.
Of course, I also had two other water bowls in different parts of the house just in case, and even a Xiaomi camera in the room with the fountain so that I could see with my own eyes that it was actually working. I also had someone on standby to go to the house and refill the water/food for my cat if needed (guys, water, especially in the summer, is not something to play with!).
Luckily, the fountain was flawless in its job and has been working continuously since July without any problems. I ignore the message to change the filter because it is very expensive, and I am thinking of completely removing the part with the activated carbon.
Cleaning/refilling is very easy, you just lift the transparent part (it doesn't even need to be disconnected from the power, it automatically stops working), clean the sponge and the filter, and refill the transparent part. As soon as you place it back on the white base, the water starts running again.
Update 30/7/2024 The warranty was changed by Skroutz, but the new firmware...16 creates the problem "the cover is lifted", meaning that the lid appears to be lifted even though it is not, resulting in it stopping whenever it wants. A small "remedy" is to completely disconnect it from the application and all networks, cover the third contact to the right, and start it again. No more control, no more Wi-Fi, but at least it will work.
Update 31/05/2024. JUST DON'T BUY IT. Amazing design, beautiful, does its job but ONLY FOR ABOUT A MONTH. THEN THE WATER PUMP THAT RECYCLES THE WATER GETS DESTROYED. Completely disappointed with Xiaomi, first time. It has already been replaced and we're going for a second one... I don't know what to say... So bad??
Better than expected. This water movement it creates intrigues the cats and they drink more water than usual. Small, well-designed, convenient. With the filters for clean water, the pets appreciate it immensely. The application is simple but comprehensive. It has the ability to circulate the water, basically consisting of two buckets, the bucket with the water goes into another bucket where the electronic parts are located, and on top, there is a lid that supports the filters. It can be set for 15 minutes (smart mode) or continuously (normal mode). For one pet, the water (about 2 liters) lasts for a long time, as long as it needs for cleaning. With 3 pets in the house, refilling is done more frequently. The water level is shown in the application, as well as with a bright red light on the device. I would gladly buy it again, my cats drink more and better quality water. The filters are simply searched for from time to time because the price fluctuation is quite significant, they last for a month but if you only have indoor cats, the time can be extended. There is an alarm in the application for filter replacement. It offers peace of mind... you can leave and be assured that your pets will have water. It easily serves three cats.
I wasn't thrilled. I expected it to dispense water when selected. This one constantly has water and simply notifies you if it's not working or if the water runs out.
In less than a month (exactly 24 days), the filter needs replacement, and official Xiaomi Greece doesn't even have it available (I have been waiting for 3 months after providing my email to be notified when it will be back in stock, and it still hasn't arrived, and I have already made 2 calls to the headquarters).
And the filter costs 15€ + shipping. Seriously now?
I wouldn't buy it again for this exact reason.
The product is fine in terms of connectivity, initial cleaning, and assembly. If there are any issues, I will return it.

It occasionally does something silly. It gives an error that the pump needs cleaning 1 to 2 times a month. To go on vacation, you definitely need to have a backup water bowl. Now think about the fact that the water I use is already filtered by an EXCELLENT water filter that I have on the faucet... I don't know to what extent someone who possibly uses regular tap water, with the risk of debris and such, would be inconvenienced by getting the error twice a month.
So far, it does what it promises and it's quite entertaining for the cat as it stares at it for hours.
I will come back if the pump doesn't hold up over time.
The consumables are not very cheap, but if you put it in smart mode, which reduces the pump's operating time by half, their lifespan doubles from 1 to 2 months.
For a month it worked fine. Then it started showing the indication "the cover is lifted" which I don't understand because I don't see any visual difference. Of course, I take it out, put it back, wash everything, but it doesn't start again. Sometimes I would unplug it for a while and then it would start again. But regardless, I can't trust it and leave for vacation.
It works with wifi. It has a filter for water purification.
The filters are available on foreign websites, 3 filters for 15€.
It also works without the filter as long as the water is clean, there is no issue... it just shows in the app that it has expired.
The filter collects any pet hair or dust particles that fall into the water.
