I remember that, in the past, we used to pass by the center of 'Direct Action' daily and later on, by the headquarters of the Greek Police, and we would receive from the responsible officer the so-called "crime and incident report". In this report, all the incidents of the twenty-four hours were recorded, among which many were funny and strange. Several of these "strange" ones were written in special humorous columns in the newspapers or magazines where we worked, and I can even say that they were read with particular interest by the readers. So, I selected these amusing stories from my archive, and after editing them, I realized that they can be published in an interesting book for today's reader, who will have fun, smell the scent of an era, and perhaps understand human nature a little better.

In this book, which you are holding in your hands now, I have recorded over three hundred incidents, all of them real, from forty years of journalistic career, from the period 1970-2010. They are not just strange, amusing, and entertaining events that will simply cheer you up and put you in a good mood; in my opinion, they are also instructive, something that I have sought not only in this book, but also in all the books I have written until today. Without being interested in playing the role of a teacher, I try to benefit the reader from reading, so that they do not become an easy victim of fraudsters and all kinds of criminals.
