The dazzling Gabrielle Dolié, professionally known as Zizi, is the highest-paid luxury prostitute in the French capital. She only drinks expensive champagnes and has a huge clientele of powerful and wealthy men, some of whom want to marry her or make her their exclusive lover. However, she stubbornly refuses. Her past is dark, no one knows anything about her, although rumors circulating say that she has roots that reach as far as the Palace of Versailles.

When the young Antoine Fabrié, a poor working-class boy, enters her house as a client, she mocks him for his audacity to want to spend even a minute with her. He insists and Zizi, impressed by the fire of his youth, agrees. From that moment, an unprecedented passion will sweep through her life like a whirlwind. Soon Antoine asks her to live together, to forget Zizi forever and become Gabrielle. But an expensive champagne cannot be compared to a bottle of cheap wine...
