I bought it 1.5 years ago. It's starting to gradually become less efficient than it used to be. It struggles to remove hair and takes longer to achieve results

The only similar hair removal device I have used is a silk epil that belongs to my mother and is about 20 years old. I decided to get my own, from the same company, since the previous one is "indestructible". Compared to that one, it removes hair faster and with less pain, and the light is very helpful. I noticed that it is effective with both short and longer hairs, and only a few are cut instead of being uprooted. I find the massage head completely unnecessary, as I think it hinders the hair removal from "catching" many hairs, making the process simply more time-consuming. Pain is definitely inevitable, but I think it is easily tolerated on the legs. I have not used it on other parts of the body.

I think the Philips Epilator for Body BRE225/00 had served me better, but it broke and that was it. I only use it on my hands. For its price, it is worth it if you consider how much waxing costs over time. Just like waxing hurts, this also hurts. If the hairs grow longer, it hurts even more, so it's good not to forget about them for weeks. When I forget, I go for waxing and then continue to maintain them regularly with the epilator. It also has a light that helps to see the hairs well regardless of their length and lighting.

Having the silk epil 9, I bought the 3 as a second one for my vacation home. Very mediocre, I feel like it sags my legs.

As many have said, it indeed cuts the hair instead of removing it. It irritates the skin and for me, it makes the hair turn inward, which I never had a particular issue with, and the hair is blonde and thin. I am trying to find another company that will do a more serious job.

Second application and I can say that it is definitely worth the money and it was the best purchase I made.
Of course, there is pain like any form of hair removal, but you can combat it with some numbing cream like I do.
There is irritation, the more times you go over the area you want, the more it will irritate, but with a soothing cream, the skin calms down in half an hour.
Personally, I have fair skin with thick, dark hair, so trust me it really works!!!!

Full irritation after use. But that was the least of it. I have quite fair skin on my legs, so after a period of 2-2.5 weeks, the hair that grows back is much darker than before and the machine can't remove it, leaving my leg looking terrible. I made the mistake of using it on my thighs and the result was the almost blonde fuzz turning into black stubble that can no longer be fixed. I wouldn't have bought it if I knew. If you can, borrow one first, give it a try, and then buy it. I regret it

If you had previous models like me, you will be particularly satisfied with the addition of the lamp that illuminates the area you are epilating. Fast and painless. In order to avoid having to go over the same area multiple times, the hair should not be too long.

I was satisfied with the product and one reason that made me choose it over other similar machines in its category was the light it has to make the hairs visible.

First time I buy such a device, the first time it hurt, but then you get used to the pain and now I do it while watching a movie.

Very good!!! I was very satisfied. I had an old one and I've been waxing for 15 years, yes it was that durable but it broke. I chose this one and I was surprised by the difference in the result. It is much better than I expected! It doesn't hurt like the old one during waxing and it has much better and longer-lasting results. The light actually helps a lot. I love it!

It takes too long and you have to go over the same spot many times to catch the hair and it doesn't catch them all. Otherwise, it leaves the skin smooth. I wouldn't choose it again.

It is very good overall. It takes about two hours if you want to do the whole legs. It only hurts the first two times, but if you continue (without using a razor in between) then you don't feel it at all.
If you have folliculitis, it doesn't work. It's better to prefer laser.. (I have given it to my sister now because I had issues with pimples. But if you don't have such problems, then it is a better choice than wax or razor).

With the frequency that I use it (almost every 10 days on my whole body), it has a lifespan of about 5 months. I prefer it because it works with electricity and has a light. For people with relatively intense hair growth like me, it doesn't provide natural radical results, but it is the best solution after a razor, wax, various hair removal creams, etc.

After about 5 years of use, I bought the same one again because the previous one broke (due to my own fault, a fall). Value for money, it is!

I bought it about 6 months ago, I used it once a week and I was completely satisfied! The problem with this particular device was that recently, in the last ten minutes of use, its mechanism would suddenly heat up and not remove the hairs. So I had to unfortunately buy a new one ☹️

I used it once 2.5 weeks ago on my legs, which have thin hairs, and it didn't hurt at all. They haven't grown more than a millimeter yet, and they haven't become coarse at all. It has cut some of them, but overall it had a good result.
It hurt a lot on the armpits and sensitive area, so I don't think I can endure doing it again, at least not anytime soon.
My daughter, who can't tolerate pain at all (even when I pluck her eyebrows, it hurts), couldn't keep it on her legs for even 5 seconds.

It is not effective at all on short hairs. But even on longer ones, it needs to be passed two or three times over the area in order to achieve effective results in hair removal! It's like it's not strong enough. I would not recommend it despite its good price!

Very irritated!!! Constantly getting sores, especially in the bikini area, and experiencing pain, even though I have been using Philips for years and never had any issues! It's such a shame that I didn't get the same product again!!!

It does its job perfectly without burdening you financially with useless extra accessories. The light is very helpful.

Some hairs it cuts, mainly from the knee down, resulting in me not having a good hair removal. In the rest of the areas, it's fine. As for the pain, I believe it's not the fault of the hair removal cream, but the hair removal itself.

There is pain, but it is for the first 2-3 times, then you get used to it. If you do it before all the hairs come out, it hurts less. My own hairs, because I have a hormonal problem, come out within a week, so I wouldn't say that the result lasts particularly long. It suits me because the irritation only lasts for a few hours, unlike the razor that creates small cuts no matter what I do.
Some hairs grow inward, but it doesn't bother me much. The best thing I have noticed is that already from the first time, my hairs have thinned in areas where I had a lot. I have been using it for almost 3 months. I hope they will weaken even more in the long run.

This is a device that I believe provides quick amortization of the cost. The lighting, although a relatively simple feature, makes a big difference in the result of hair removal. It also does not have any issues, and I was impressed that my previous silk-epil worked for over a decade with regular use. I consciously chose a model that is not cordless, as I find that for this specific use, it would not be practical. It does not include additional heads, and in my opinion, they do not offer anything substantial, only an increase in the final price. The evaluation is written with the understanding that this specific hair removal method involves pain, which is, however, tolerable.
