I have been using it for several years... My skin tends to have acne outbreaks at times, with a few pimples, and other times I have no pimples at all. I have been using acne treatments with creams for 8 years and then I decided to stop any treatment, just using the cleanser in the morning and evening, and then moisturizer. For the past 3 years, I have only kept the cleanser and I no longer have many acne outbreaks, only once or twice a year. It is good for this job, but it dehydrates the skin, so it needs a good moisturizer or hydrating serum afterwards, as many times as needed.
The quantity of the cleanser should be the size of an almond. We foam it in our hands and then apply it on the face (excluding the eye area and mouth), and rinse it off carefully to avoid contact with the eyes. I believe it should be used carefully and periodically changed with a milder cleanser. Let's not forget that each skin has different needs and what may be good for some may not cover the needs of others. So, when it comes to facial products, it is good to try a sample first before purchasing.
I have been using it for years, I wash my face every night with it and it has helped a lot in preventing breakouts. If you use it in the morning as well, you need to be a little careful because it will leave the skin dry. I would mainly recommend it for combination to dry skin types
I bought this today and e,expected the normal version that I have tried in a friend's house. They delivered me the Microbiome version which smells and feels differently. I am sick and tired of ordering a certain product and getting something else and then having to waste my money on goods that are not worth the hustle of return.
I think that those of us who have gone through acne or have oily skin have definitely used it at least once. It is very good, but I have tried other, cheaper ones that really eliminate all the oiliness.
Some of you have been confused. The product is not suitable for acne, whether it is teenage acne or hormonal acne. It cleanses the skin, makes it smooth, and removes excess oil so that new pimples do not constantly form. Now, if you have a hormonal problem, are going through adolescence, are stressed, have thyroid issues, or work in dusty warehouses and sweat a lot, the product is not suitable.
A simple toner, as my face is clean and I didn't "expect" to see results in something. Clearly it dries out the skin intensely. If it gets into your eyes by mistake, you will need 2 working days to see again.
I have loved it even though it doesn't get rid of existing pimples, it cleanses the face and makes it smooth. It definitely prevents new ones from forming and it's truly amazing. I consider it the best out of all the ones I have tried
I bought it for my daughter who has acne-prone skin. The first time she tried it morning and night for one day, she woke up with pimples. Because she had to take a photo for her ID, we left it aside until we figured it out, for a month. As soon as she started using it again, her face filled with pimples again. I washed my face once and got 2 pimples out after 20 years of not even having a blackhead. I definitely do not recommend it.
I bought it for my daughter (almost 11 years old) who started to develop acne, and with the first use overnight, the next morning we immediately saw the first results! In combination, of course, with the corresponding cream
It cleanses the skin satisfactorily. As for makeup removal, it requires a little effort (e.g. mascara is not easily removed). But overall, I have been satisfied.
It leaves a deep sense of cleanliness... it requires a small amount which creates enough foam, so the packaging lasts a long time... I bought it for my son who has black spots and I hope they will diminish with its use, anyway the company itself is a guarantee. Finally, it goes without saying that it needs moisturizing afterwards, it is a cleansing gel and not a moisturizer!
My favorite and, for me, the best face soap! It has helped me a lot with acne and in general you feel that it cleans your skin deeply! I highly recommend it, I have bought it 3 times so far and of course I will buy it again! If you combine it with a face cream from the same series and/or sunscreen, you will see great results!
I used a similar product from another brand for years, but in one of my orders they sent me a free sample of this La Roche Posay cleanser. It did a good job, so I decided to try it and bought it. I tried it for several months and it really makes a difference compared to the other brand I was using. Firstly, I don't feel my skin dry after cleansing, and secondly, my skin doesn't get oily as quickly, so the cleansing effect lasts longer.
If you have dry, or even normal skin, I would not recommend it. It excessively dries out the skin and you definitely need a moisturizer. However, in terms of cleansing, it is perfect. It also smells very nice.
It has a nice scent and texture. One dose is enough for facial cleansing. I have oily skin and after using it, my skin feels dry and immediately needs moisturizing. I don't use it for makeup removal, it is not effective enough, especially for mascara.
The best facial cleanser on the market and I highly recommend it. With a small amount, it deeply cleanses the face while simultaneously not drying it out.
I have combination skin, and it satisfies me 100%!!
After each application, I feel the skin soft. Also, when there is a pimple, it calms it down to a great extent.
With what I was reading, I thought it would be the super perfect product. But in the end, it's just good. There are other cheaper ones that do a better job...
The dermatologist recommended it to me after I completed the medication treatment for acne. I have been using it for two years now and I am completely satisfied. For my skin type, which is oily (although not to such a great extent after the treatment), it is ideal because it leaves a matte finish.
Worst. I have been buying the effaclar cleansing cream for oily sensitive skin for years. It was amazing, it didn't cause dryness and my skin was calm and clean. This was discontinued and replaced with the foaming gel with excessive citric acid...
And while the company claims that this product is even suitable for skin with eczema, it CAUSED eczema for me! It caused irritation and redness on my forehead and eyebrows, so much so that I had to go to a dermatologist and undergo treatment.
Clearly, I would not buy it again and it definitely had nothing to do with the previous one...
After 2 weeks of use, unfortunately my face became very oily (even though I had it under control for so many years) and I started getting a lot of small pimples. At first, I thought it was because of my moisturizer, but I have been using it for a while and it doesn't make sense. Then, my friend tried the product, who doesn't have acne issues, and suddenly started experiencing a lot of oiliness immediately after using it. I will go back to Avene, which ultimately had regulated my skin.
Very good cleaning product. It does what it promises! I have been using it for over 5 years and I am very satisfied. I have thought many times about changing products, but every time I come back to this one. It also has a long duration. My 400ml bottle lasts me almost 5 months with 2 or maybe 3 uses per day. It goes without saying that you ALWAYS have to use a moisturizer after cleansing your face. Unbreakable rule!
It is a very nice product for reducing oiliness and controlling acne. When I say controlling acne, I mean not getting more pimples. It will NOT make your existing pimples disappear on its own without any other complementary product, but only if you are not currently using any facial cleanser and use it for the first time, then you will likely see some difference. For people who have acne and already have a skincare routine to deal with it, it is more of a maintenance product. Excellent if you are looking for something to help with the oiliness of your skin, so I would recommend leaving it on your skin for a few seconds before rinsing it off.
