The optical sensor continuously monitors the heart rate while conserving battery life, as it activates periodically throughout the day. You can receive a notification in case of a high or low resting heart rate episode. Continuous heart rate monitoring is activated and recorded when you use the workout mode.
Proactive rhythm monitoring
The ScanWatch automatically monitors the heart rate so it can send alerts if irregular rhythms are detected, and then it will suggest you record an electrocardiogram (ECG).
The ScanWatch Horizon seamlessly monitors all your activities, including intense sports activities. The smart detection and connected GPS provide you with accurate information.
The ScanWatch Horizon collects numerous data points to measure sleep cycles, detect respiratory disturbances, and then automatically calculates your overall sleep score.

I have had the watch for about two weeks now, in the blue color, and so far I am completely satisfied with my purchase.
Before buying it, I read several reviews and watched several videos on YouTube to make a decision. Based on my experience so far, I summarize the following:
1. The watch is very beautiful. Initially, when I received it and opened it, I would say that I was a bit reserved and excited as the product's photos and what I had seen made it look more impressive. Every day that I wear it, it seems to become even more beautiful and overall, I would describe it as a really nice watch. I should note that I am not the easiest critic, but neither am I the most demanding.
2. In some reviews, the watch is mentioned as heavy. If someone wears it with the bracelet, it may be heavy, I agree. However, I cannot personally judge accurately compared to other similar watches as I have never worn one with a bracelet. Personally, I always wear it with the silicone strap that comes with it and it does not feel heavy at all for everyday use.
3. The battery lasts quite long, as advertised, although this is directly dependent on the use of the screen, the number of notifications that someone has set, and the settings. Personally, I have set it to notify me only for calls and I avoid apps that would cause frequent screen usage, such as Viber for example. The most demanding functionality, in terms of energy, I think is the sleep apnea monitoring, which can consume up to 10% in one night. There is a setting where this feature is activated at certain times within a three-month period so that it is not always active but also not always disabled. In order to have an idea, with the sleep apnea measurement function turned off, the battery lasts me about 3.5 weeks.
4. The accompanying application that syncs with the watch is very nice and provides a lot of information and measurements. I have not noticed any synchronization issues and everything seems to run smoothly. Additionally, with the company's other devices (scales, blood pressure monitors, etc.), one can get a comprehensive overview and frequent monitoring and recording of measurements, which I find excellent. The ecosystem seems to be excellent in its use through the application, although the price that one has to pay is particularly high, as with the other devices.
5. The build quality of the watch seems very good and overall it appears sturdy. I have used it for bathing and there were no issues, but I have not used it in the sea or in depth to have a better picture. Clearly, since it is still early, I have nothing substantial to report or add about the watch's durability over time. Perhaps in a year from now, I will update my review and provide more information.
In conclusion, I would like to mention that so far I am very satisfied with the watch, its capabilities, and the options and measurements displayed in the application. Also, the company's ecosystem is excellent and if someone buys the rest of the devices, paying the corresponding price, they can have continuous measurements and be able to draw very useful conclusions about their health through the application and recordings. There are videos showing that the measurements may not always be completely accurate and I agree, however, if someone buys the watch, the electronic scale with measurement of internal fat and artery hardness, as well as the blood pressure monitor that offers comprehensive measurements for pressure and heart valve function, they are able to have comprehensive measurements, on a daily or even very frequent basis, that even if they are not very accurate, they can prevent episodes where someone will ultimately have to pay much more to doctors for their treatment at the very least.
Those of you who are fans of classic watches will love it because it combines the quality of a diver watch with smart features. It is expensive but unique in its category, sturdy, and feels great on the wrist. You can understand its 500 euros price tag when comparing it to 300+ euro Citizen or Swatch watches, and you simply pay for the fact that it is a small company.
I have an iPhone and everything works fine. If you are looking for a smartwatch, don't get this one as it is heavy for sports and doesn't respond to calls or messages. You can only see notifications.
In terms of health features, it has everything. However, the measurements are not the most reliable, especially if you activate all the functions like oximeter and electrocardiogram, which it uses to monitor your sleep and analyze your apnea percentage. The battery will drain quickly unless you disable these two settings, just like you heard about it before buying it.
The charger is not wireless, neither is the watch. The magnet of the watch is not strong, so if it moves a little, it will disconnect from charging. The luminescence is satisfactory.
I had the Casio Edifice C900, which is solar-powered with Bluetooth, and the Horizon is of better quality. Even the rotating bezel is of better quality. From the case finishing to the sapphire glass and the bracelet quality, you can see the 500 euros. However, this doesn't mean it will withstand mistreatment; it is not made for that. It's up to you to decide if it's worth it.
In conclusion, if you want a Seiko-type watch with smart features to wear at work without worrying about damaging it, you won't regret it. If you are looking for an everyday smartwatch, get Huawei for material quality or Apple Watch or Galaxy for their smart features. If you want a watch that will last a lifetime, get an automatic Japanese Seiko or Swiss Tissot
