  After 1 year of use, the 12,000btu is perfect in everything but it has incredibly annoying vibrations, as if the plastic is breaking to the point where it bothers you when watching TV. I wouldn't have bought it if I knew about the vibrations. When I bought it, there were no reviews.

  I bought a GREE HANSOL 12000BTU from 2015 which had broken for unknown reasons. I was disappointed when I heard that it makes one click more noise than the old one. I'm talking about the lowest speed because it will be running almost constantly. Due to the mild weather, I can't evaluate it in anything else.

  Great performance in cooling so far and relatively quiet (something that worried me because it was placed in a bedroom). Of course, it is still early because it is a recent purchase but anything negative that arises I will come back. 22/5/24 I remove one star because at the start of operation it makes some unacceptable noises otherwise good (it doesn't bother me much and I have gotten used to it)

  I replaced an old 12,000 BTU Klimatair Plus air conditioner that was installed in my mother's studio apartment, which is 40 square meters. It easily cooled the entire house (with the bedroom door open). However, it was not suitable for heating in cold weather since it did not have inverter technology.

  I won't go into the features of the Carrier Platinum Plus, as they are well-known from the description. It's not a coincidence that a 12,000 BTU unit is more expensive than many 18,000 or even 24,000 BTU air conditioners. What sets the Carrier Platinum Plus apart is its high performance combined with extremely low energy consumption.

  The installation of the Wi-Fi was quite challenging, as it is not integrated into the unit. Inside the package, there is a Carrier smart kit that looks like a flash drive. This kit needs to be installed somewhere so that the air conditioner can connect to the network.
  In the user manual, there is a general diagram showing a position inside the cover where the smart kit should be attached. However, this diagram does not match reality. I opened the air conditioner's cover to install it, but the position shown in the user manual did not exist inside the cover.
  After watching an older video on YouTube, I noticed that the Carrier smart kit was connected to a visible USB port at that time.

  Finally, I asked Carrier's customer service and a lady provided me with written instructions on how to do it:
  To install the USB, we need to remove the screw above the gray-black frame shown in the photo. Carefully slide out this gray-black plastic, and on its inner side, we will see a slot for the USB. We insert it and reattach the gray-black frame. Finally, we screw the screw back in. We download the application and register our air conditioner.
  The photos I took are very informative.

  After that, the activation was a piece of cake. The mobile application works perfectly.

  However, pay attention to a critical point. When I entered the stored code on my phone, the cursor was positioned one place after the last digit. This resulted in the air conditioner's addition to the application stopping at 66% and failing. This happens because this empty space is recognized as an additional digit. Delete it so that the cursor is positioned right after the last digit of the code, and the addition of the air conditioner to the application will be completed immediately.

  As for the air conditioner, I have only tested it in hot weather so far, as it is still quite cold in northern Greece in May during the mornings and evenings. I will update my evaluation once I have used it in the summer and winter.

  Despite the difficulty of installing the Wi-Fi, I give it 5 stars because I made the purchase based on the performance of the air conditioner and not the presence of Wi-Fi. However, since it does have Wi-Fi, I believe the installation process should be easier or at least there should be clear installation instructions in the user manual, along with the correct images.

  Awesome, one of the best products I've purchased, worth its money. After a year of use, mainly for heating in a 32 square meter living room, it covered it comfortably and very economically. The total electricity it consumed in 4 months of use during quarantine for heating was 130 euros. In the end, you get what you pay for... but you will definitely recoup your investment with this purchase.
