These classic texts, although they refer to subjects that the philosopher explores in depth and in detail in his other works, such as "Emile" and "Confessions", each has its own distinct philosophical and literary value and are not simply part of Rousseau's correspondence or autobiography.

With his artistic writing, Rousseau manages to speak as he thinks. He praises the inexhaustible love that led him to the truth. And through the faithful depiction of himself, he challenges us to know our own selves.
