Description

Indelible RIMO fabric dyes for dyeing in the washing machine, ideal for white sheets and towels that you want to change color.

  • In the washing machine, cotton, linen, and viscose fabrics can be dyed.
  • For fabrics with up to 30% polyester, the shade becomes lighter because polyester does not dye.
  • Waterproofed (e.g., raincoats or finished clothes and those that require dry cleaning only) cannot be dyed.
  • Dark shades do not become lighter; they simply change hue.
  • When the fabrics are printed, the designs are not covered but change hue (e.g., blue dye on yellow fabric gives a green hue, red dye on yellow fabric gives an orange hue).
  • The clothes you dye must be washed and clean from stains because stains are not covered by the dye.
  • Each 180-gram dye package is sufficient for 500 grams of fabric.
  • Weigh the clothes you intend to dye. When the weight of the clothes exceeds 500 grams, increase the amount of dye.
  • For each dye package, 1 kilogram of cooking salt is needed.

Instructions:

It is essential to use plastic gloves.

1) Empty the white powder and the dye color into the washing machine drum (not in the detergent drawer) and shake the drum to let all the color fall into the holes.

2) Add cooking salt to the washing machine drum (the ratio is 1 kilogram of salt for one or more color packages), covering the surface where the dye fell.

3) Place the clothes in the washing machine drum (after weighing them), ensuring they are not folded. The clothes must be wet before being placed in the washing machine.

4) Start the washing machine at 55-60 C (complete program) without pre-wash and without detergent.

5) Once the washing machine completes the program, add the detergent (Attention!! It must be placed in the detergent drawer) and start the complete washing program again without pre-wash at 80c – 90c.

6) After the washing machine program finishes, remove and dry the dyed clothes in the shade, not in the sun.

This achieves bright and indelible dyes.

If the clothes have been washed at a temperature lower than 90c, let the washing machine run again empty at 90c, placing detergent and bleach in the washing machine drawer to clean it completely from the dye.

I painted a yellow and orange sheet and it actually turned out brown!...very good color performance, I don't know how long it will last...we'll see.
