Thassos is a place endowed with natural resources and natural beauty. Forests, mineral wealth, marbles and more recently the beaches have attracted people throughout the ages with the main motive of exploiting its natural wealth. The signs in the landscape are many, ancient mining galleries and holes, ancient coastal guard towers, remains of mines from the past century, modern dams, coastal tourist centers. This map, made with the support and collaboration of the Thassos Environmental Movement, suggests that we approach the island as explorers and hikers, discover routes through beautiful forests and cool streams with waterfalls and pools, swim in natural marble pools, visit picturesque villages in the hinterland, appreciate all that nature generously offers without consuming it. On the back of the map, there is an extensive presentation of the area and the routes with beautiful photographs and concise texts.
