1. Do not place the baby unit inside the crib, nor in a spot where the baby can grab it with their hands. On the other hand, the further away you place it, the more the sound clarity decreases. Perform tests and place the unit at the furthest point from the child from where the device can still pick up and clearly transmit even the lowest sounds.
2. The baby should not be able to reach the device's connection/charging cables. Ensure that they do not have access to them.
3. Check if the parent unit goes out of range, runs out of battery, or is on mute or low volume while it is not in your line of sight. The out-of-range or battery replacement/recharge alert functions that many intercom systems have are useful for this.
