The field of Public Health is a fundamental pillar of healthcare systems, regardless of medical-pharmaceutical care and diagnosis services. The main mission of modern Public Health is Disease Prevention, Health Protection, and Health Promotion, through strong institutions and organized services at central, regional, and local levels. The dramatic experience of the pandemic makes Public Health policies an immediate priority. Epidemics are primarily fought in the community, involving the three basic areas of Public Health. In our country, the field of Public Health is particularly weak, as it has not been a priority of the State over time. The steps that have been taken, especially in the last twenty years, are few. For all these reasons, the need for the development of Public Health in Greece is more necessary and urgent than ever. This book contributes to satisfying this need.
