I recently played both games for the first time, and I admit I didn't expect to enjoy the universe of Plague Tale so much! Requiem had a tough challenge because we are talking about a game that relies on stealth mechanics and of course its storyline!
POSITIVES:
1) As a first positive, I must mention its incredible visual aspect! It is perhaps one of the most beautiful games available for modern consoles (PS5, XBOX SERIES X,S). There are countless landscapes to admire, each one different from the previous, and you never get bored of this variety. Additionally, the character design is equally beautiful and clearly better than the previous game (let's not forget that A Plague Tale Innocence is considered INDIE).
2) The story is also very interesting like the previous one, with nice twists, tension, sadness, anxiety, and exploration! It focuses heavily on the relationship between Hugo and Amicia and the additional characters! A very difficult story is told, focusing on the fact that in life you can't control everything, and at some point, you have to take a step back, no matter how hard it is what you will experience!
3) Both old and new characters are amazing, and all play a significant role in the game! Of course, I can't help but mention the AMAZING performance of Charlotte McBurney who embodies the role of Amicia!
4) The gameplay continues the existing formula of the first game, with some very interesting additions (I don't want to mention them because it would lead to spoilers). It has slightly removed (not completely) the "throw a stone to distract the enemy" with similar tools that will help you progress the story. It is definitely better executed than the first game, as there are abilities you unlock after completing each area with enemies, such as the ability to move faster while crouching, or the ability to easily kill armored enemies when you are in stealth mode, etc.
5) Amazing music as well as sound.
6) Very nice feel of the adaptive triggers and vibrations from the DualSense!
NEGATIVES:
1) The story, especially in the first 3 chapters, was relatively boring and monotonous because it was constantly "back and forth," just to teach you its simple mechanics.
2) I can't understand why they removed the quick step (something like dodge) from the gameplay. There are more enemies, so it would have been much more useful to have this mechanic in Requiem as well. The downside is that they didn't add anything as a replacement after removing this system. Additionally, some may not like the constant "throwing things in the environment to avoid difficult situations" for 20-25 hours of gameplay. Personally, it didn't bother me, but I wanted to mention it.
CONCLUSION:
Overall, it took me 25 hours to complete the main story and about 30 hours to achieve 100%! It was one of the most beautiful experiences I have had so far. For those who enjoyed the first game, don't hesitate to buy Requiem. Conversely, those who found the first game mediocre will find the sequel equally mediocre because it is the same game, with multiple improvements to the core. I consider the 30 euros an excellent price for this! Happy shopping!!!!!!
I played the game as soon as it came out of the gamepass! Well, what I have to say is an INCREDIBLE game! I am a big fan of the first game in the series and I can say that Requiem keeps you exactly like the first one, it doesn't make you bored as it takes the story deeper and you get even more attached to the characters. For the size of the production studio, it is truly a masterpiece better than games that cost 80 euros upon release!
This game is a masterpiece sequel to the first part of the story. The gameplay follows the same paths as the first one, the story is much stronger, and the ending is very difficult in terms of emotional impact. Personally, I found myself moved and overwhelmed as the relationships of the characters, especially Amicia with Hugo, are gradually built throughout the game.
Apart from that, the graphics are excellent, the landscapes are breathtaking, with the only downside I noticed being the game freezing and requiring a restart after changing the graphic section to performance, meaning changing the refresh rate to 120Hz. Overall, this is a title that should not be missing from any collection, as it has everything, especially depth and emotional connection, something that few games offer
Having finished the first game, I started the second one. The graphics are slightly better, the gameplay is the same and unchanged, the sound is decent, and the duration of the game is doubled. The storyline of the game is captivating. The best in its genre in the last decade.

I played it right after the end of the first part. Improved graphics but not as much as I would like. There are some occasional frame drops for no reason. Double the duration of gameplay. The story is at the same top levels in my opinion, just like in the first part. The sound is very good and improved. It has a slump in the middle of the story that I didn't like. I expected it to be less linear. I think it's been a while since I've seen such a linear game. The weapons and overall handling and upgrades are simple and good enough in my opinion. Overall, it's a game with quality that lacks a bit in the technical aspect, but the result remains wonderful.

Well, REQUIEM is mind-blowing. It is one of the most beautiful games of the new generation and perhaps the most beautiful. The utilization of the dualsense is even better than Sony's first-party games, offering an incredible result. Now, the story, if you have played the first game, it will shock you, especially the ending.... To cut it short, the game is a must-play and I wish I could play it again for the first time from the beginning.
The continuation of Asobo's first masterpiece. Requiem was added to the wishlist from the moment it was announced. In my opinion, it is a game that is worth its money, but mainly the experience you will have through it.
Initially, I will refer to the game's story. The story continues where the first one left off, with Amicia as the playable character who will face many new challenges that will radically affect both Hugo and herself. We see a more mature, sensitive, and decisive Amicia who has come closer than ever with Hugo. Many obstacles appear in their path to search for a peaceful life and find a cure for the Macula.
In general, we have several new characters who will appear and play a crucial role in the story's development.
Personally, the story shocked me, many times it made me wonder what a great game I am playing. Emotions, sadness, and at the same time a drop of hope prevail mainly, without appealing to emotion but making you feel like the characters because we have bonded with them.
Of course, I cannot fail to mention the music, one of the game's strongest points. Incredible and masterful are the first words that came to mind when I heard the musical composition by O.Deriviere, which in combination with the game's scenery puts you in the atmosphere of the era. In general, whatever is said about the scenery and the music will be laudatory from my side.
As for the gameplay, they stuck to the basic template they had from the first one with several new additions that mainly promote stealth. I respect and appreciate what they did and did not change the game's style too much, keeping the character of the game intact or slightly positively enriched.
Finally, the graphics left me speechless, and personally, I consider them next-gen even if they were not the best out there. We have many changes in landscapes due to Amicia's continuous movement during her journey with Hugo. In some points, I was simply amazed by the scenery and the view while listening to the game's soundtrack.
To summarize, Requiem is a heavy game, full of emotions, twists, and rich musical composition. It definitely deserved the time I gave it, and personally, I would like another title as well. I hope I helped!

Very good game that keeps you in intense emotions, but the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that on Next Generation Consoles the game runs at 4K 30Fps, no it's not right, the previous one had two graphics options, maybe in the future they will update it, we'll see
Awesome evolution of the story in a good timeframe. They have based the same gameplay with small improvements. The aesthetics of the game are very beautiful, in many points you just look right and left to see what they have created! There are some issues with the fps, the graphics are good especially for the size of the studio.
