Fiberglass frame

The frame made of fiberglass is a common choice for the construction of camping tents. It is a lightweight and durable material, made from fiberglass fibers that are usually coated with polyester to protect them from water and moisture.

Fiberglass is flexible, allowing the frame to be lightweight and flexible to support the tent fabric.

What does the feature Polyester 190T mean?

It is an indicator for comparing the durability of two fabrics made from the same material

T means Thread that is fiber and the number reveals the sum of the vertical and horizontal fibers in a square inch of fabric (see photo). The larger the Thread, the denser the weave and the greater the durability of the fabric.

What does the waterproof rating on camping tents indicate?

Waterproofing in a tent shows us how much water the outer fabric can repel. It is measured in millimeters (mm) and refers to how many millimeters of a vertical column of water (and thus pressure) a square centimeter of fabric can withstand without being penetrated by water.

The higher the degree of waterproofing, the less breathable the fabric is, and thus the warmer the tent. Widely used waterproofing values range from 500mm to 10000mm. Theoretically, any fabric with waterproofing >1000mm is characterized as waterproof. Indicatively, a summer tent can have waterproofing from 500 to 1500mm.

Spacious and cool tent. Good ventilation with large openings.
Materials of very poor quality. It broke after 4 years. The poles were breaking one after the other at the top, probably due to design. Every year at least one would break, so you need to have spare ones. In the fourth year, 3 broke.
The screens tore very easily along the zipper from the first setup. The seams seem to be crooked and you can tell during setup when the poles don't pass easily through certain points.

I would expect better quality for its price. After 5 days of use, holes started to appear next to the zipper without any force. The floor also peels off in some areas, even though I had put an additional thick underlay underneath and the ground is clean. It has good spaces. I would like it to have additional hooks on the sides to provide better ventilation. The poles are thick, but it is also a quite tall tent, so I don't know how well it will stand if it's very windy, although logic says it should withstand. Maybe with a good discount, it could be a recommendation for a family. However, it definitely should not be sold for more than 100€ considering its quality.

I give it 5 stars for its price (€165 in August 2021). The setup requires 2 people unless you want to struggle. The instructions are inadequate. If you have experience with tents, you can easily understand it. First, you pass the two long poles diagonally through the tent, and after lifting it, you throw the cover on top, secure it, and then pass the shorter pole through it to create an arch at the entrance. The front part is identical to the back. To distinguish it, look at the rings in the 4 corners. The front ones have 2 pegs to hold the poles, the back has 1. Its materials are proportional to its price, but personally, I am satisfied. If you place it in a location with weak winds and heavy rain, you won't have any problems. Its space is spacious and they provide 2 curtains to divide it into 3. I didn't use them. On the contrary, the internal rings that hang the curtains are very useful for hanging lamps and bags! It can fit 3 double Intex mattresses inside and there is still some space for things. It is tall inside (2m), you can walk and dress comfortably, it is well-ventilated, and the screens, doors, and windows are very ergonomic. The 2 tent poles are included. The product description is incorrect. The good thing is that apart from the 6 pegs (4 in the corners and 2 on the entrance flaps), you don't need anything else. It is very stable with just those (of course, if it's very windy or rainy... stake everything down). In an organized camping site, you won't need anything else. If I were to buy a more expensive one to withstand heavy rain? No. I would buy a cheap tarp in the same size to protect it from the rain and that's it. I have been doing organized camping since 1984. Would I buy it again for such use? Yes. It's perfectly fine. Just be careful when inserting the poles so as not to tear it, and everything will be fine.

Good architecture with very poor material quality. Good only for short vacations without rain. Very poor quality-price ratio.

We use this tent with my family of four and we are very satisfied!!! It comfortably fits us parents, our two children, and all our belongings!!! We can move around easily inside and the openings and mesh screens in the front and back help with ventilation and keep mosquitoes and other insects out!!!
