While it is excellent in terms of appearance and measurements, one month after its purchase, the screen suddenly turned all purple within a few hours, starting from a small purple pixel that spread across the entire screen. It should be noted that it was neither hit nor broken. It has been sent to the service for a week now and I am still waiting for a response...
The battery lasts for 4 days with daily 1-hour training using GPS.
2 stars because it broke within one month.
4 stars for battery life and for the easily scratched dial. Couldn't they have used a gorilla or generally a durable glass? It's a shame because in terms of accuracy, it's perfect for an amateur runner and more. I hope it doesn't have any issues with GPS like other Garmin watches I was looking at before ending up here
Good evening,
I have had the watch for 3 months and what I can say is that I am very satisfied with this purchase. The battery lasts for 1 week or 5 days with training, but it charges very quickly so there is no problem. The measurements are very good. This particular watch is very beautiful and stylish, so besides being a sports watch, it is also easy to wear for outings.
Very beautiful watch and fits very well on the wrist. You can wear it comfortably for a night out. It is not big and is quite comfortable for everyday wear and sleep. The measurements may be among the best for smartwatches.
It needs attention with hits because it can scratch relatively easily. I have also put a screen protector to be more calm.
I have had the watch for a few days and it has positively surprised me. The screen is beautiful. The size is ideal for me as a woman and its application is very good, it feels like I'm not wearing it.
It is also positive that you can view data literally on all platforms: Android, iOS, and Web, the latter being important for me.
Through the web, you can create your own workouts, which is very useful and quick.
I was very impressed with the strength training application. Essentially, the gym card is replaced by the watch. Of course, it does not count repetitions with absolute accuracy, but still... you have the ability to write down how much weight you lift and it has a lot of exercises as well as benchmark exercises.
The battery is not a problem and the watch charges very quickly!
I also tried Garmin Pay with a Piraeus Bank card and it worked perfectly!
I really can't think of anything negative about the watch, except for the battery, which definitely does not last for 11 days with regular use. At most, 3-4 days.
The battery autonomy is much lower than advertised. Compared to the Samsung watch 46, it lasts 1-2 days longer, but without the same functions as the first one. It's a shame I didn't choose the Samsung watch 4
It's not worth buying it for the money you give because the measurements it has, it does them like a 100 euro one (I mean they are not accurate). The only positive thing is that it has a very good and accurate GPS. The quality is unacceptable, the strap irritates you, it has the same strap as a 10 euro watch, it may even be worse. In my opinion, it's better to get a clean smartwatch instead of this. The NFC is perfect. The battery is average. The sleep measurements are all over the place, I'm in bed watching TV and it shows that I was sleeping at that time, I get up from bed at night and it doesn't show that I'm awake in the sleep measurements the next day. The oximeter doesn't have accurate measurements based on the oximeter I have, I have no opinion on the heart rate because I have nothing to measure it with. And the three stars are for the money you get, I don't know if it's worth it. After 1.5 years, it started having a problem, it turns off by itself.
On the positive side, it has great accuracy in its measurements.
The battery, although it claims to last about two weeks, lasts me about a week (with all sensors functioning) and daily training for 1:30 hours, so it's logical. It charges very quickly.
What bothered me is that it records swimming in open water inaccurately.
In general, during swimming, the hand should remain out of the water or close to the surface in order to record correctly. Coming from the Apple Watch 3, where the recording in the sea is the best I have seen.
In general, I tried paid applications, much better, but still, it needs a lot of work.
The strap is much better compared to other Garmin watches I have tried (always in terms of the irritation it causes me).
In terms of use with an iPhone, the negative aspect is that if you have chosen from the phone not to preview the notification, they do not appear at all.
Overall, it is a very good sports watch for someone who does not want to use it as an extension of their phone's functions.
The connection with wireless headphones is easy, where you can transfer your Spotify playlist and listen to them offline.
Elegant in hand and comfortable for exercise or a "good" walk. I've had it for two weeks and it loses about 10-12% battery per day with normal use and workout tracking, so it can easily reach the 12 days it claims, with some settings modifications. GPS accuracy is great. Garmin Pay is easy to use and instant. It has many options for workout tracking, as well as good accuracy in heart rate monitoring, etc.
The only negative is that I synced it with an iPhone and I can't reply to messages from the watch (while I know it's possible on Android).
Garmin managed to combine its excellent fitness tracking technologies with the beauty of a stylish watch with a stunning AMOLED display. Personally, this is what I was looking for, as Xiaomi and Huawei may have nice appearances but lack reliability in measurements, while most Garmin devices have disappointing screens despite being great for fitness. A good solution would be the Samsung Watch 4, but its battery is terrible. Therefore, the ultimate combination is the Venu 2, for someone who wants both beauty and reliable fitness functions, as well as a super battery that can last up to 6 days with heavy usage. The only problem I have noticed is frequent disconnections from the phone if you move even a few steps away, but this negative aspect wouldn't make me deduct even half a star from the rating
Owner for about 2 months, I really forget that I wear it, very accurate in running and the supporting application is complete. It has vibration for notifications and the step count is relatively accurate because it counts many hand movements lol. I wish I had bought it now that the price has dropped again, 400 was a bit expensive for what it offers.
I have had it in my possession for more than two months. It is very lightweight and elegant, although it is made of plastic it gives you the feeling that it is very well constructed. In its measurements, it is very good and detailed. It has a nice AMOLED screen and generally has all the functions of a smartwatch (steps, breaths, heart rate, stress, sleep, blood oxygen) it shows you all the notifications and you can even respond to messages on messenger with pre-set messages that you have defined through the application. You can answer calls, but you need to have Bluetooth headphones connected to your phone at that time to hear, otherwise it simply opens the line. Its battery lasts about 5 days with full use.
The three things that disappointed me are the following:
1) It does not have a crossfit activity recording.
2) In the pre-set fitness programs (EMOM, AMRAP, strength) that it has, when you complete the workout, it does not sync it to the watch and the file is output as damaged.
3) I noticed that while I am driving, it counts that I am climbing stairs (so maybe also steps).
Overall, it is a very good smartwatch for everyday use, it is a small fitness assistant although I consider it a bit expensive but what can we do, it is Garmin.
After many trials with various smartwatches, the latest one I tried was the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3, which is a smarter watch, I can say, because it responds to calls and messages normally, while the Venu 2 only has pre-set responses for calls and messages. However, it lacks in other aspects that personally made me switch to the Venu 2.
Such as:
1. Accuracy in measurements in all areas, from sports to sleep and altitude, barometer, heart rate, oximeter, stress.
2. Garmin Pay, which I constantly use because it is convenient for me.
3. The endless battery life it offers me personally, with 5+ activities per week ranging from 50 minutes to one hour and fifteen minutes, constantly connected to the watch day and night (night mode activated at night) with all measurements open, automatic screen and numerous notifications per day, 8 24-hour periods (I say it like this because some say three days but they mean only during the day and they turn it off at night like in other smartwatches).
4. And some extras it had compared to the GW3 that personally clicked for me, such as physiological age, health snapshot, body battery, and breath tracking.
I have it in my hands for only one day... super lightweight and very elegant... instant synchronization with Xiaomi 7... very good screen and accurate measurements... I will come back with a more detailed evaluation...
