For now, a few things: those of you who are not used to rugged phones should know that the device is bulky. It is not like what you had before. And in this particular phone, it is logical because how else will a 10,000 mAh battery fit? A monster battery that can last you two weeks with light usage. So, the bulkiness is due to its battery, and this is perfectly acceptable to me.
So, if you buy it, you are buying a phone-power bank. Literally. Besides the fact that you will forget where you put your charger (due to its uselessness), you will be able to charge your iqos if it runs out at the beach or your wife's phone or any other device you desire.
One thing I don't like about ulefone mobiles, specifically this one, is the grip of the phone. It could have some elastic points to make it safer to hold, more secure so it doesn't fall (nothing will happen, but why should it fall?). The cat s 42 that I have sticks wherever I touch it, unlike the ulefone that slips.
Furthermore, it doesn't touch if you place it on a table, and if you try to type, it moves up and down because of the two ridges on its back. Minor problems, of course, when you consider this war dog as a whole.
It has a built-in screen protector and comes with an extra protective glass, as well as a strap that you better not use because it's a joke to hold a 350-gram phone. It broke immediately for me, and the phone fell down. But what can a tank-like phone suffer if it falls? Nothing, lol :-)
It has two navigation methods, one with touches and the classic one with the three buttons at the bottom. I had a little trouble finding (with the second method) how to scroll up the applications when you are on the home screen. Eventually, you can do it by long-pressing on the home screen, then clicking on home screen settings, and then screen style.
The fingerprint on the side is fast and without any problem, no matter how many fingerprints you add.
Also, if you buy a memory extension, make sure it is fast, especially for microSDXC Class 10 U3 V30 A1 mobiles.
I bought a 512GB one (you can go up to 1TB) for 60 euros + the 44GB internal memory (about 20 out of the 64 are used for the operating system), which is bigger than my PC. Get ready for hours of recording.
These are some quick observations I have for a phone that is truly rugged with many advantages and a beast of a battery. I believe it is one of the very good ones in this category.
I pre-ordered and received the PRO version from abroad.
