How does it work?

The cells of the plant freeze when the perceived temperature drops below zero for a sufficient amount of time. This usually happens in conditions of intense evaporation of the moisture on the leaves. Such conditions prevail in the early morning hours when the sun comes into direct contact with the leaves or when strong winds prevail.

The anti-freeze fabric protects by allowing photosynthesis and proper respiration of the plants. It is made of hydrophobic material, which does not retain moisture, thus preventing the development of fungal diseases.
