The present edition of Cost Accounting has two important innovations. First, it attempts to introduce the student of economics to issues related to the organization of the production process and how it affects the processing and shaping of cost information.

Understanding the reality of production is the first step towards shaping a reliable cost system. The second innovation introduces, for the first time in Greek-language literature on cost topics, issues such as cost asymmetry and lean production costing.

In this way, we believe that our students will better understand a naturally difficult subject, such as cost accounting, and will come into contact with international trends in the relevant field of knowledge.
