The educational book "Hygiene" is aimed at students of the 3rd Grade of Vocational High School (Health – Welfare – Wellness Sector) and aims to help them systematically prepare for the Panhellenic Examinations. It is organized into three parts:

I. The first part presents in detail the chapters of the teaching - examinable material (Hygiene as a science, Division of Hygiene, Health, Epidemiology – Diseases, Hygiene: Environmental Hygiene, Food Hygiene, Water – Water Supply, Sewerage – Waste, Personal body cleanliness, Housing Hygiene, Work Hygiene). Each chapter includes:

  • Detailed presentation of the theory with images and visual diagrams
  • Assessment Questions: A. Short answer, B. Fill in the blank, C. True/False, D. Matching, E. Multiple choice, F. Judgment
  • Answers to the questions in the school book

II. The second part includes the topics of the Panhellenic Examinations 2017-2021.

III. The third part includes Review Assessment Criteria, simulated in the Panhellenic Examinations.

The detailed answers to the Assessment Questions, the Panhellenic Examination Topics, and the Review Assessment Criteria are found at the end of the book.

    I bought this particular book because of the detailed diagrams and the wide variety of exercises. The school textbook is simply ridiculous. It is poorly written, with many grammatical errors and densely packed. A student cannot retain information if it is not presented in proper diagrams. And this guidebook solves exactly that problem. However, I rate it with 3 stars purely for subjective reasons. Personally, because I aim for a prestigious school, I am required to memorize the textbook inside out. Here, the guidebook falls short because the theory is not exactly the same as in the school textbook, resulting in, as shown in the image, the need for several changes in the content. Nevertheless, I believe that this guidebook is very useful for any other student as it is more understandable and explanatory than the textbook and it also has a wide variety of exercises (multiple choice, fill in the blanks, judgment questions, critical thinking exercises, and even crossword puzzles!)
