The size definitely needs to be sized up, in the market research I did I saw it so I bought the corresponding size. They have a pretty hard sole and are not suitable for running. I wear them with socks with reinforced back side because I have sensitivity and usually shoes hit me there. With such socks they are okay. As for durability, it's too early to have an opinion, if I see something I will come back.
