It comes activated with its puk and a sticker with its phone number (external) and apn. It does exactly what the description says, suitable for alarms and GPS trackers. Whoever doesn't know how to use it, it's better to buy a cu or cosmo card
The card does not have a PIN and it displays the ARN and the phone number, PUK. It does not require activation. I put it in an Ajax alarm for Ethernet backup and after attempts to configure the ARN on AJAX, it works fine. No user/password/pin is needed. In this case, no call or SMS is needed to configure the card. It definitely needs it for a GPS tracker. I hope it also has the 500MB for 5 years that they say, because with less than 40 euros, you can have peace of mind for 5 years.
The card comes without usage instructions, without any information on whether it needs activation, PIN removal, if it corresponds to a phone number, and if it can receive calls and SMS, which is necessary for most GPS trackers to accept the APN. In short, it has a sticker with the APN and an English number +44 on it, so be prepared for "good" charges from Greece. It eventually comes activated and without a PIN. It accepts calls and SMS but does not have a balance to do the opposite. Data has what the title mentions. It should be noted that I spent a day and more than 20 SMS to manage to send the APN to the card because there was probably a blockage somewhere in between.
To learn the above, I called the store where the purchase was made, and the store gave me the support phone number of the supplier (data media Greece) where no one answered for a whole day. To finally figure it out, I called the support/sales number of the wholesale department where they finally answered and connected me to the appropriate person.
Now, because it didn't have usage instructions, the first move was to visit the website listed on the card. This website is an administration for Truphone SIMs where I registered and added the sim. WRONG! Don't do it. This administration is supposedly provided only for wholesale customers, and when the SIM was inserted into the administration, a new package of 50mb for 3 months was activated (note that it appears inactive in my account). After many emails with Truphone, I still haven't figured out which package is actually in effect as they give different answers to my questions, while data media on their side claims that their own package with 500mb for 5 years seems to be active.
For now, the card works on the GPS. It remains to be seen for how much longer.
