“The price that ghosts are called to pay is high. And that is exactly what I am now. A ghost, a specter. By my own will, in my own way. A ghost that moves silently among people. And them? They look at me, but they don't see me. They hear me but they don't listen. They interact with me, but they don't know me…”
A serial killer is murdering women in the present by copying femicides from the past that remained unpunished. At the impeccably staged crime scene, the killer leaves "gifts" for the police: extra clues, with which the culprits of the past can now be apprehended.
All the victims wear a piece of jewelry identical to the one that Deputy Police Officer Nora Dendrinou always has around her neck: a calligraphic capital "N" enclosed in a small house. The killer's challenge to her is clear. The game begins. With her, Deputy Police Officer Nikolas Panagiotidis and private investigator Elpiniki Ntoka. The three of them trapped in an arena of death.
Can the present shed light on the past?
Can revenge mean justice?
Because sometimes “the past has not yet come and the future is not like it used to be…”

I finished it in 5 days. Fantastic, but you should also get the next one. The story ends, but the same characters continue in the second one.
A mediocre book but well-written. It became a bit boring for a crime novel. It's okay, nothing special. Manta has much better ones
Top book with a very simple and meaningful writing style, it opens your eyes to many topics and makes you see them from a different perspective.
Easily predictable, which is a problem for this particular type of books. It would have liked a bit more effort from both women.
The positives: The book is a page-turner! Very easy to follow and interesting until the end, with very good descriptions of the characters and the scenes! It's like watching a movie.
The negatives: There was no twist. Anyone with even a little familiarity with detective novels or movies can recognize the murderer before the middle of the book! (Still, it doesn't lose its interest though)
Personally, it reminded me A LOT of the Chestnut Man (I haven't read the book but I've seen the Netflix series) and I could consider the plot as a good adaptation with adjustments to the Greek context (since we don't make chestnut men here!) Meaning, the profile of the heroine, the murderer, and even the motive are the same!
Nevertheless, I enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to the next book by the author duo!
