The Monstera "Monkey Mask" has been dominating the decoration of our indoor spaces lately. Its unique leaves with dark green color and several holes on their surface, hanging downwards, give them the most "eccentric" and impressive appearance. Ideal in the category of hanging plants.

Care instructions

• Light: Prefers bright, indirect light, but can tolerate moderate shade. Avoid direct sunlight, as it slows down its growth in very dark conditions.
• Water: Water it when the soil in the top few centimeters starts to dry out. Reduce the amount and frequency of watering during winter and let it dry out between waterings. Excess moisture can cause rotting of the stem and root system.
• Temperature: Normal indoor temperatures of 16-24 °C, always above 12 °C.
• Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity levels. It cannot tolerate dry air conditions. Increase humidity in the room by misting its foliage in the morning if necessary.
• Fertilization: Apply fertilizer suitable for green plants during the growing season.
• Growing medium/Repotting: Repot every 2-3 years using a good quality indoor plant potting mix, adding perlite for better water drainage.
• Care tips: The holes on the leaf surface are normal.
• Height and growth rate: Maximum height can reach 1 m. It is a slow-growing plant, but its growth accelerates under ideal conditions.
• Toxicity: The leaves are toxic if ingested, keep it away from pets and children.
