    I am 1.80 with rather large hands and the XL fits me like a glove (pun intended) :)
    They hold the wrist very steady and the palms are well protected. The classic problem with short gloves is that they don't protect the index/middle/ring fingers when handling rough barbells - but I wouldn't buy full gloves for anything.
