It is exactly what it seems. Very thin plastic with a sliding lid. I got it for my laptop because I often accidentally make video calls instead of regular calls and the camera automatically opens, so I wanted a lid. It is so thin that it doesn't bother the screen when closing. I was thinking of putting something similar on my tablet since it has three cameras, but I haven't done it yet.

It requires careful installation. Initially, the screen needs to be cleaned well for it to stick properly, and it needs to be placed straight to do a good job. Also, a "challenge" was figuring out how exactly to place it so that it doesn't cover the camera and other components. I would recommend installing it with the camera open to confirm that it doesn't cover it. Also, on my laptop, there is a light sensor to the left of the camera, which means that if it was placed towards that side, it would cover it every time the camera was open. I put it upside down, and now it partially covers the light that indicates if the camera is open, but it is still visible because it doesn't cover it completely. So, it is generally important for everyone to see what is on their device because it is designed not to come off easily - which is a positive thing.

I have had it for a few months now, and it hasn't broken or come off, even though I often touch it when opening and closing my laptop lid. I also use it frequently because I open and close the camera often. Overall, I recommend it
