The kitchen table by Homemarkt is made of particleboard (chipboard), a wood derivative made from small pieces of wood and sawdust. Externally, it features a melamine coating, which offers resistance to scratches, abrasion, and corrosives.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
As in the photo. I made it today and I don't have an opinion on durability but it seems okay.
BUT the fact that there are no assembly instructions is unacceptable.
With only one diagram that leaves everything to your imagination (photo 2)
What you need to do is assemble the 4 legs, set them aside, place the top on the bottom, and build the frame on top of it. This is a bit tricky to fit together.
You need to lift the edges to fit into the screws and dowels. (Photo 3)
Finally, you screw the legs to the outside of the frame.
For the assembly, minus one star.
I will return for the durability.
The table, besides being beautiful, is well-made. Although the material is not amazing, it doesn't scratch at all and doesn't fall apart with the slightest touch like cheap melamine products do. It is sturdy, can withstand weight (I weigh 75 kilos and it holds me) and the legs don't wobble at all. Excellent purchase. A huge downside is the completely nonexistent assembly instructions that only show you a very small diagram of how the table should look in the end and leave the rest to your imagination. If someone has assembled furniture of this type before, it's very easy, but this doesn't negate the fact that it's unacceptable to not have proper instructions included.
